"what is this place?" stefan asked as they stopped walking.
"according to island lore, a group of college kids came here for spring break. a few weeks later, they were all found dead, completed drained of blood." shane said.
"talk about spring breakers." may said.
"well ,tragic for them, brilliant for us. who sleeps where?" rebekah asked.
"well, that's lovely. there's a mystery man with a hatchet lurking in the woods and we're just gonna camp." damon said.
"we're safer here than we are hiking in the dark." shane said.
"or we're sitting ducks in the dark." may said.
"let's just keep going. you know? get the cure. get in, get out. where is it?" damon asked shane.
"how stupid do you think i am?" shane asked him.
"stupid enough to raise an immortal witch, so i'd say... incredibly." damon replied.
"yeah, i'm shocked you even want the cure, considering you've got the most to lose once elena's human." shane told him.
everyone started to set up their sleeping spots and stefan looked at his best friend.
"are you excited?" stefan asked her.
"stefan, i've been waiting for this for a very long time. i just feel like something might go wrong." may said.
"i'll do everything i can to make sure we can get the cure." stefan replied.
only stefan knew that may was planning to take the cure. she didn't wanna go tell telling everyone and then have something go wrong.
she felt that the others would see her as weak for wanting to be human again.

the next morning jeremy was missing and they all looked for him.
"jeremy! did you find anything?" elena asked the group.
"he's not on the trail." bonnie said.
"his gear's still here." shane said.
"he's not at the quarry, either." stefan said.
"split up." damon said.
"i'm gonna stay and try a locator spell." bonnie said.
"okay. i'll stay here. i'll make sure she's safe." shane said.
"i'll stay here and make sure you're not lying." damon said.
"fine. we'll keep searching the island." elena said angry that she had to go with stefan and rebekah.
may was going along with them as well but since stefan and rebekah slept together elena was a bit upset.

"why don't you yell louder. maybe we haven't drawn enough attention to ourselves already." rebekah said.
"i'm sorry, and how are you helping?" elena said.
"not again." may said to stefan as she rolled her eyes.
