may, caroline and elena were setting up for friendsgiving.
elena had a problem with her new friend liam who was about to find out she was a vampire.
"is that really how you'll tell him? just come out with it?" may asked as elena shrugged.
"i don't know. maybe a little less emphasis on vampire." caroline said.
"i'm a vampire." elena said in a different tone.
"that's a little worse, honestly." may said.
"i mean, there's only so many ways you can say it." elena said.
"well, maybe liam will stop digging into lady whitmore' miraculous recovery. and you won't have to come clean." caroline said.
"or he'll keep digging, realize that i force fed her my vampire blood and then just bail." elena said.
"okay, you know all of this can go away with one fell mind wipe." caroline said.
"she's right, when all else fails... compulsion." may agreed.
"so lie, and lie again, and again and again." elena said.
"okay, if you wanna tell him the truth, i support you 100 percent. but if you're rushing into this to escape some conflicted feelings over a certain ex who just came back into your life, then i suggest you keep your fangs to yourself." caroline said.
they heard someone come in to the whitmore dorm and may saw jo had brought some food.
"jo." elena said.
"hi." she replied.
"where's alaric?" elena asked her.
"don't kill the messenger. something about an impromptu guys' weekend." jo told her.
elena went to go call alaric and she found out that alaric, damon and stefan were in portland.
bonnie's teddy bear had sent over to their universe and damon knew if they went to portland they could get a lead on how to get bonnie back.
when elena and caroline found out that bonnie could still be alive, they were over the moon.

"all right. if everyone could gather around the table at their assigned seats, then, um..." caroline began until luke walked in.
"oh, sorry i'm late." luke said.
"we will each share something that we are thankful for in a hundred words or less, so..." caroline said as everyone sat at their assigned seats.
"uh, anyone wanna see some embarrassing baby videos of liv?" luke asked.
"oh, you know what? now would be an excellent time just to shut down anything with an on off button." caroline said but they ignored her.
"no, please, let the food get cold. whatever that is is far more important." caroline said before she walked away.
when jo and elena walked in, may noticed jo's expression changed.
"what are you watching?" jo asked.
"that kind of sounds like your voice." elena said.
"that is my voice. i took that video 18 years ago at a birthday party for the twins." jo said looking at liv and luke.
"oh, my god." liv said as they smiled at jo.
