may and caroline carried stefan's corpse into the whitmore dorm and caroline couldn't hold back her tears.
may on the other hand felt like she'd cried out every ounce of liquid left in her body. she was just left with a feeling of numbness.
she could only stare at her best friend. she didn't even look up when elena and damon came running down to see what was going on.
"oh, my god, stefan." elena said as she sat down.
"we didn't know where to bring him. we just couldn't leave him outside. bonnie has a plan, right? she said that she could bring people back. tell me that she can bring him back." caroline said as she tried to catch her breath from all the sobs she'd let out.
"we'll bring him back. come on. let's get away from prying eyes. okay." damon said before he wrapped stefan's body in a blanket.
elena looked at may and she noticed her eyes still hadn't moved. it was as if she was frozen.
"may?" elena said putting her hand on top of hers.
may finally looked up and she locked eyes with elena.
"we saw julian rip his heart out... i just can't get the image out of my head." may said before elena, caroline and may gathered for a group hug.

elena, may and caroline went to track down luke and liv to get them to help.
they stopped them at their car in the middle of the road and they had no choice but to get out.
"little tip. if you're gonna flee the scene of the crime, take back roads." elena said.
"you really wanna do this again?" liv asked her.
"you mean, the part where you try to kill a doppelgänger? there's no point, stefan's already dead." elena said making their faces drop.
"and if you don't help us, a witch will be dead too." may said.
she normally didn't threaten witches but she didn't care right now.
"i know you don't believe me but i am sorry." liv said.
"good. because you're gonna help bring him back." elena told her.
"look, i get what you need from us. but if both doppelgängers are alive again, the travers can restart their spell. witch magic goes bye bye and all you vamps, you're goners." liv said.
"they're not gonna have a chance to start again. because in order to bring stefan back, we're gonna have to kill them. a lot of them. including markos." elena explained.
"we can't help you. and even if we wanted to, our coven would kill us." luke said.
"stefan saved your life." caroline reminded him.
"i know he did but-" luke began but liv cut him off.
"we can't risk it." liv said.
caroline was so angry with her response that she grabbed luke and snapped his neck, killing him.
"no!" liv said.
"your brother is officially on the other side. think you can risk it now?" caroline asked her.
"we better get to work or say bye bye to your twin." may said.
