may and damon were at home while stefan had gone back to school.
they heard the bell ring and damon went to open the door, revealing anna.
"i suppose i should be grateful. you learned to use the bell." damon said.
"i am here on behalf of my mother." anna said.
"doubtful." may mumbled as she sat in her chair, doing her crossword puzzle.
"on behalf of or in spite of?" damon asked before letting anna in.
"i'm sorry about what the other vampires did to stefan. aducting him, torturing him. it wasn't supposed to go down like that." anna said.
"you were playing house with half of a tomb of really pissed off vampires. what did you think was gonna happen?" damon asked.
"my mom is devastated. they tried to overthrow her." anna said.
"well, isn't that a shocker." may said sarcastically from her seat as anna rolled her eyes at her.
"why isn't she here telling me this?" damon asked referring to pearl.
"she doesn't really do apologies." anna said.
"well, that's a coincidence. i don't do forgiveness, so just run along. and if you're gonna continue playing house with your little vampire pets... you might wanna stop robbing the blood bank dry because they're on to it." damon said.
"i haven't been to the local blood bank in at least a week." anna told him.
"then it's one of your others." damon said.
"the others are gone, damon." anna replied.
"well, where did they go?" damon asked beginning to get frustrated.
"they weren't cut out for this town. after what happened with your brother, my mom kicked them out and they took off. it's just us and harper now." anna said.
"it sounds like we might have a problem." may said getting up from her seat.

damon had informed may that stefan was the one who robbed the blood bank.
she was starting to feel worried for stefan especially since he was going with elena to the miss mystic falls pageant.
she didn't want stefan to be around too many people, she knew that amount of blood could drive him to snap.
may got ready to go to the pageant and looked at her dress in the mirror one last time before leaving.
once she got there, damon walked up to her and brought her some champagne.
"damon salvatore being a gentleman, is that world ending?" may asked.
"no, i just wanted to talk to you." damon said.
"why?" may asked him as she saw damon look around.
"john gilbert wants to find something that he thinks pearl stole and i need you to help me make sure he doesn't get it." damon said.
"if it wasn't for that stupid little ring, i would rip his head off right now." may said.
"does him not exposing us to the council not ring a bell?" damon said.
