may and stefan went to the high school to get the gilbert journal back from mr. saltzman.
they were in his classroom looking for it and then may heard someone walking.
she tapped stefan on the shoulder and they saw a wooden stake being shot at them.
may quickly reacted by catching the stake in mid air. stefan used his vamp speed to grab the stake gun from behind.
"you shouldn't have done that." stefan said pushing mr. saltzman into the desks.
"who are you?" mr. saltzman asked looking up at may.
"oh, i'm the 400 year old vampire you just tried to kill." may said.
"have a seat. what is this, compressed air? did you make it yourself? who are you? i'm not gonna hurt you... unless you try that again." stefan said.
"or until i lose my patience, whichever comes first." may said as stefan passed mr. saltzman back his weapon.
"now... who are you?" stefan asked him.
"i'm a teacher." mr. saltzman replied.
"right, but you're not just a teacher." may said.
"are we gonna have to do this the hard way?" stefan asked.
"i'm also a historian. and while researching virginia, i made a few discoveries about your town." mr. saltzman said.
"so you show up like van helsing. come on tell us the truth." stefan said.
"my wife was a parapsychologist. she spent her life researching paranormal activity in this area. it was her work that led me here." mr. saltzman explained.
"where is your wife?" stefan asked him.
"dead. a vampire killed her." mr. saltzman replied.
"i can see why you don't like us very much, then." may said.
"where's the gilbert journal?" stefan asked.
"what do you want with it?" mr. saltzman asked.
"where is it?" stefan asked again.
"it's on my desk." mr. saltzman said as may scoffed.
"no, it's not." stefan said.
"you don't think that wasn't the first place we looked?" may asked.
mr. saltzman looked over to his desk and noticed they were right, the journal wasn't there.
"it was on my desk." mr. saltzman said.
"someone else wants in the tomb." may said to stefan.
"how long have you been aware of me?" stefan asked.
"i learned just recently. when i met your brother." mr. saltzman said.
"you met damon." stefan said.
"who do you think killed my wife?" mr. saltzman said.
"you certain it was damon?" stefan asked.
"you certain you should put it past him?" may asked stefan.
"i witnessed it." mr. saltzman replied.
"if you're here for revenge... this is gonna end very badly for you." stefan told him.
"i just wanna find out what happened to my wife." mr. saltzman said.
