may was at the carnival along with the rest of the town and she and damon were watching tyler lockwood arm wrestle.
"stefan tells me you've been investigating the lockwoods?" may said.
"they have some sort of secret, i'm just not sure what it is yet." damon replied.
"uh huh. you're lurking." stefan said joining the two of them.
"i'm observing." damon told him.
"more like obsessing." stefan said.
"but look at that." may said as they watched tyler beat the guy he was arm wrestling with.
"he's got strength." damon said.
"he's a triple letter varsity athlete. of course he has strength. you're reaching." stefan said.
"well, there's has got to be some reason to gilbert device affected tyler and his father." may said.
they watched as mason made his way over to tyler, challenging him in arm wrestling.
"enter the uncle." damon said.
"this is ridiculous." stefan said.
mason ended up beating tyler.
"he's a champ. who wants to go next?" tyler asked.
"hey, stefan wants to go." damon said looking at him.
"yeah, sure. i'll, uh, give it a shot, you know." stefan said walking up to the table to go against mason.
"go, stef. get him, stef." damon said.
may was amazed when mason ended up beating him.
"you didn't put in any effort at all." damon said as stefan walked back over to them.
"yeah, actually i did." stefan replied.
"come with me." damon said as the three of them walked away from the crowd.
"is he..?" damon was about to ask but stefan cut him him.
"no, no, no. it wasn't that kind of strength. but it was more than human, if that makes any sense." stefan said.
"what is up with that family? if they're not vampires then what the hell are they?" damon asked.
"ooh, uh, maybe they're ninja turtles?" stefan replied making may chuckle.
"you're not funny." damon said.
"or, no. zombies. werewolves." stefan kept going.
"no comedic timing at all." damon said as he looked over his shoulder.
"what? what are you up to?" stefan asked his older brother.
"since this is reality and there's no such thing as werewolves or combat turtles..." damon began.
"it's a ninja turtle, actually." stefan corrected him.
"hey, you." damon said looking at the guy who was working that carnival.
"i have a name." the guy replied.
"yeah, i don't care. i need you to pick a fight with someone. kid named tyler lockwood." damon said as he compelled the guy.
"oh, no." may said.
"damon, don't do this." stefan said.
"it's just an experiment. get him mad. but don't back down no matter what he does. okay?" damon said.
"i won't back down." the guy said.
"i know you won't." damon said letting the guy walk away.
"you do realize somebody's gonna get hurt, right?" stefan said.
