when stefan called elena and told her that damon, enzo and alaric were across the boarder, may used her vampire speed to get to the other end of town.
she saw stefan was standing there unsure of what to do and may knew she had to act fast.
she looked at the mystic falls sign before looking at stefan and she took a deep breath.
"may, don't!" stefan said before may crossed the boarder and she fell to her knees coughing.
"i can do this." may said before she fought her way up and stefan followed behind her.
he felt weak once he crossed and his stomach started to bleed.
"stefan." may said tossing him a crowbar.
stefan opened up the back of the truck to help get damon and enzo out.
may saw someone going to help alaric and she recognized her. it was jo, the woman who elena was trying to set ric up with.
stefan went to go help damon out of his chains but damon stopped him.
"no, no, no, no. get him." damon said pointing to enzo.
stefan got enzo down and then damon.
may went to help enzo out of the truck while stefan was helping damon.
they were all weak and they were moving as quick as they could.
stefan and damon were moving a little faster and they were finally over the boarder.
"i can't." may said as she felt her nose and blood was pouring out.
she took her last ounce of strength to push enzo far enough to get him over the boarder and may fell to her knees.
"may!" stefan shouted as they watched her cough up blood.
may felt herself losing oxygen and she felt her eyes closing.
"you're not dying today." enzo said before he ran across the boarder.
he grabbed her and he brought her over the boarder. her eyes shot open and she could finally catch her breath.
when her eyes finally focused, she locked eyes with enzo and he had her in his arms.
"thank you." may said as enzo smiled.
"well, you saved me first i figured i had to repay you." enzo said making may chuckle.
may looked over and she saw that alaric was over the boarder but jo ended up keeping him alive.
somehow alaric was turned into a human again.

may was by herself at a bar near whitmore and stefan walked in and took a seat beside her.
"you here to apologize?" may asked him as she downed what was left of her drink and poured another one.
"i can't believe you did that, you almost died." stefan said as may chuckled.
"you followed me." may said.
"i went because you did. i wasn't going to let you do that alone." stefan told her as she nodded.
"i kinda thought i was a goner honestly." may said as stefan locked eyes with her.
"so did i, and that was scary. i wasn't ready to lose you and just when i thought i was going to, enzo did the least expected and he saved you." stefan said as may nodded.
"yeah, he did. he saved me." may said.
"i'm starting to understand what you see in him. maybe i shouldn't try to kill a guy who's willing to save my best friend." stefan said as may laughed.
"oh, we're best friends again?" may asked him as he let out a sigh.
"i know i acted like a complete dick but i'm hoping we can move past it?" stefan said as may smiled.
"hey, barkeep? can i get a glass for my best friend here." may said making stefan smile at her.
"thank you, may." stefan said.
"but i hope you know caroline won't be as easy to make up with." may said as stefan let out a sigh.
"i know, but i'm still gonna try." stefan replied as he had a drink with his best friend.

while may was walking back home from the bar, she saw enzo was waiting outside her apartment.
"enzo." may said making him look up at her.
"do you know how many times i had to beg caroline into telling me where you lived?" enzo said making may chuckle.
"what are you doing here?" may asked him as she unlocked her door.
"i just wanted to check in, you know, after the suicide mission you set out on in order to save me and damon." enzo said walking into her apartment behind her and closed the door.
"i'm fine, thank you. you could've just called me to ask that, you know?" may said with a chuckle.
"i know, but when a pretty woman risks her life to save me, she deserves to be thanked face to face so, thank you." enzo said with a warm smile.
"well, going through death a second time certainly wasn't pleasant but i'm glad it payed off." may said before she got herself a glass of water, offering one to enzo.
"for two people who have history, we don't seem to know too much about each other." enzo said.
"then let's get to know each other." may replied.
how did you become a vampire?" enzo asked as may let out a sigh.
"long before we met, i had a family. my parents and my four brothers. in 1621 my father had gotten sick, scarlet fever. he died and not long after so did my brothers. i started to get sick, too. i was almost a goner when this woman named rose found me. she felt pity for this 18 year girl facing death so young and she.... she turned me." may told him.
"what about your mother?" enzo asked her.
"she was killed during the witch trials when i was just a girl." may told him as his eyes softened.
"did you spend all those years as a vampire in england?" enzo asked her as she shock her head.
"no, i actually spent quite a few years in a different part of europe where i met my best friend lexi. after awhile, i met stefan after he'd turned into a vampire. lexi made it her life's mission to help him." may explained.
"and then you came back to england." enzo said as she nodded her head.
"yes, i was there because i wanted to visit before i left permanently. the memories there were just too much but then..." may trailed off and enzo caught on.
"you and i met." enzo said as she nodded.
"yeah, we did." may replied as they smiled at each other.
