Never Let Go

Chapter 52: Inseparable

My mind is blank and the butterflies swarm around my stomach. It took me a second to compute that Maya's lips are actually on mine and we're kissing each other. She took me completely by surprise - the best kind of surprise ever.

I embrace her and hold her body close to mine by resting my hand on her lower back and stroking my other hand through her hair.

We kiss each other slowly and gently. Her lips feel like soft feathers against mine, and I feel like I've been transported to another world. I have no words to describe how good this feels. I've waited for this moment for a long time, and there once was a time when I thought I'd never feel her lips again, but now I finally have her.

I have no idea how long the kiss lasted because it felt like we were frozen in time, but I soon snap back to earth when I feel Maya's lips part from mine, and I miss them instantly.

I open my eyes, feeling dazed, and my mouth stays slightly parted as I look down at her. She's staring at her hands clutching hold of my shirt, too shy to look me in the eyes and has a huge grin on her face. She eventually looks up and in to my eyes as she flutters her eyelashes. She bites her lip and a cute shade of pink covers her cheeks.

"I finally got a kiss under this tree."

Hearing those words leave her mouth makes me smile.

"Yeah, let me give you another one." I said with need through my deep voice.

I lean closer to her face and feel her smiling against my lips as they welcome each other again. I cup her face in my hands while we kiss slowly and passionately. I want us to stay in this moment forever and never let go, but eventually we part for a second time and stare into each others eyes while we catch our breath.

"I can't believe you wrote that for me..." She whispers with her eyes now becoming watery. "It means so much. Thank you... I loved it."

I smile and rest my forehead against hers.

"I could write a whole book of poems expressing how I feel about you and how much of an incredible woman you are, but no words are amazing enough to truly describe any of that."

As she smiles, a tear drops from her eye and rolls down her cheek.

"You're so sweet." She reaches up and gently strokes my cheek with her thumb before stroking her hand into my hair.

She plants a soft kiss on my cheek and wraps her arms around my waist, giving me a tight hug. I squeeze her gently and nuzzle my face into her hair, breathing in her intoxicating sweet scent. Her fingertips stroke my back slowly. Feeling her touch the material of my shirt like this instantly brings goosebumps to my skin. I copy her movements and begin to stroke her back, slowly gliding my hand up to the back of her neck. I gently move some of her hair aside so I have better access to her neck, and I begin to plant soft wet kisses on to her skin. I can tell I'm not the only one with goosebumps right now.

She automatically shuts her eyes and bites her lip. Her head drops to one side slightly while she enjoys the feeling of my lips on her sensitive skin. She sighs quietly as my lips travel up to her jaw, and just before I reach her lips, her alert eyes shoot open. They look so different now - they're darker and full of lust and desire.

"Let's go to your car." She whispers and bites her lip. It's become a little chilly now the sun has set, and a soft breeze blows through her curls.

I nod and look her up down as she steps back, separating herself from me. She shows a sexy smile and we walk away from the tree, heading for my car. She's walking ahead of me slightly and my hungry eyes stay glued to her body. I'm incredibly aroused, and in this moment I'm overcome with such lust and need. I need her, right now. I need her sweet caress. I want her body back on mine and her tongue in my mouth. I can't hold back any longer because my emotions are about to burst, and so is something else...
