Chapter 30 - Warm me up ♡

Before I start this chapter, I would like to thank all of my lovies that kept me motivated to keep updating (especially sadiebethslover 💕 , itslaela , and Pariah86s ) because without you guys I wouldn't have been able to reach this  many chapters !! Max's POV-

It was snowing up a storm outside, so I was trapped inside waiting for Jane by the window. The funny thing is that there hadn't been a hint of snow the day before, but now it was covering every inch of grass. Indiana weather was always so unpredictable. I could hardly stand it.

I was worried Jane wouldn't be able to make it due to the crazy weather, but I was proven wrong when I saw a figure bundled up in jackets, scarves, and hats. I rushed to the door as quickly as I possibly could, almost falling over and breaking my face. I regained my stability and opened the door for who I figured was Jane.

I was right, Jane's face appeared as she got closer. Her nose and cheeks were awfully red. I grabbed both of her arms once she was in reach and pulled her inside. She yelped slightly, and I closed the door.

"Your face is so red, you must be freezing babe." I frowned, stepping closer and cupping her cheeks as I pressed my warm lips against her freezing cold forehead. I stayed in that position for around 20 seconds before I was interrupted.

"Ooooooooooh!" A male voice giggled immaturely like a middle school girl. I quickly broke our position and turned around to see my brother Billy standing at the entrance to the living room.

My eyes widened immediately and I began to panic, "Billy! Don't tell mom!" I pleaded.

"Chill out dummy she already knows." He rolled his eyes as if it was so obvious.

"What?!" I exclaimed worriedly.

"Yeah." He shrugged, kind of amused.

"How!" I asked frantically.

He stood there for a moment with an awkward facial expression that was almost a smile, but more of a cringe. "Well.."

"Billy! Did you find out and tell her?" I panicked.

"No no no. Let's me put it straight and simple, you guys had sex last week. Mom's smart enough to know that best friends don't fuck each other." He stated. "And I've known that you've loved Jane for so long, I found your diary from when you were 13 and every single page was about how badly you wanted to s-"

"BILLY WHAT THE FUCK YOU WENT THROUGH MY DIARY??" I walked up to him and shoved him back a couple feet.

"Hey hey hey, let's not get rowdy here Strawberry Shortcake." He teased, reaching over and ruffling my hair. I quickly pushed his arms away and walked over to Jane so that I could proceed to drag her away from my brother.

"Fuck you, Billy!" I yelled one last time before gently shoving Jane into my room and slamming the door.

Jane stood beside my closed door like a confused child, wrapped in tons of jackets and winter attire. I smiled slightly at her innocent appearance and facial expression, and pecked her nose before helping her out of all of her extra layers of clothes.

Once everything unnecessary was off, I wrapped my arms around her waist and held her for a while, her head resting on my shoulder and my head resting on her's.

"I'm cold now." Jane whined.

I chuckled suspiciously and ran my hands up and down her back delicately. "Well, there's quite a few solutions for that."
