Maxi pad's POV-

"Alright everyone, I'm substituting for Mr.Wilson this evening." A younger female teacher announced, slouching into Mr.Wilson's chair.

I smiled slightly, relief filling my veins. I couldn't be any more relieved that he was gone. I would never be able to act gay around Mr.Wilson.

"Choose whatever seat you want, and I don't care what you do. I'm just here to make sure that nobody leaves." She kicked her feet up onto the teacher's desk, and took some nail polish out of her pocket to do her nails.

I glanced over at Jane, sending a wink her way. She responded with a sarcastic eye roll and a grin that lingered on her lips for a bit longer than usual.

I stood up, and walked over to Jane's seat, glancing at her lap.

"Is this seat taken?" I asked plopping down on her and catching her off guard.

"I, uh-"

"Thanks cupcake." I turned my head to face Jane's face and I slung an arm around her neck, pulling her closer to me.

A couple kids looked over at us, but the rest of them were having very stupid conversations and they couldn't care less about what we were doing since we were in the very back.

"So what should we work on first?" I grinned, picking up two assignments from my desk that were only a couple feet away.

Jane's flushed face wasn't able to direct itself anywhere but the floor, so I waved the papers in front of her face.

She shoved the papers out of her face, and snickered slightly. "You pick."

I smiled sneakily, turning around in her lap to face her desk properly. But I made sure to take my time.

"Hmmm.. How about we work on my missing math assignment?" I suggested.

Jane seemed like she was beginning to space out, so I snapped my fingers in front of her face.

"Oh, um what?" She murmured.

"We should do my math assignment together." I smiled, planting a kiss on her cheek. I didn't care who saw us, nobody in that room cared.

Her face grew red, and she bit her lip. "Uhm, yeah.. Sounds good."

We worked together.. Well we tried to work together, but Jane couldn't pay attention to save her life. I eventually gave up and we decided to arm wrestle instead.

I was standing on my knees in front of her desk, our hands gripping the other's hand, and our elbows rested on the desk between us. It was now round 7, and the anger in Jane's eyes was glowing.

"I'm taking you down, Mayfield." The brunette grumbled, her grip on my hand tightening.

"Woah, calm down princess, you're gonna rip my hand off. And I've beaten you three times already, you don't stand a chance," I teased, causing Jane's competitiveness to grow stronger.

Jane rushed into the next round, her face scrunching in concentration as she tried with all of her strength to make the slightest movement of my hand, but our hands were stuck in place because we were both using the same amount of power.

"C'mon, you know you want to give up!" Jane grunted, her face starting to turn red from trying so hard.

"Me? I don't give up." I replied with ease, fake yawning in the process.

"Max!" She huffed as I pushed her hand a couple inches closer to the desk's surface.

"Is there something wrong?" I grinned. Her hand was inching closer and closer to the wooden surface, and I could tell by the look on her face that she began to feel defeated.

She shot me her puppy dog eyes, and pouted at me. I had the strong urge to let her win, but I kept pushing. I couldn't let her distractions keep me from claiming my victory.

"Maxie.. please.. can we tie this round?" She whined softly.

My grip hesitantly loosened from her hand at the nickname that softened my heart every time she used it. Her hand slouched down onto the desk, and I removed mine from her's.

"You're lucky that you have a cute face." I sighed, pinching her cheek with the hand I hadn't been using to arm wrestle.
