COERCION Part 2 (IWAIZUMI HAJIME)

Summary: Once upon a time, there was a little girl named (Y/n), who was treated horribly by her step-family. A prince fell in love with her but she didn't feel the same. And only he lived happily ever after.

"I have a deal I'd like to make with you," A dark smile spread across Prince Iwaizumi's lips, "One you won't be able to refuse."

"O-Oh?" You squeaked, your mouth drying at the predatory gaze in his eyes.

"Marry me."

The kitchen went dead silent, your breathing completely stopping at his words. It felt unreal, his request.

"P-pardon?"

Prince Iwaizumi, smirk as pronounced as ever, repeated himself "Marry me."

"That's not really a deal, your Highness," You managed to say, your words choking your throat.

His dark eyes considered you for a brief moment before he corrected himself, "Marry me or I'll tell your family that you are meeting with your brother against their wishes."

You gaped at him, heart stopping. How did he know? How on earth did he know that?

This... this couldn't be real. You were just having a horrible nightmare, right? But why couldn't you wake up?

Bile rose in your throat, "I... I can't do either, your Highness. You're set to marry Hana, not me. I'm just the chef-"

"You aren't the chef at all," Prince Iwaizumi snapped, "I know more than you think I do, so don't you dare lie to me. I could have your head if I wanted."

Oh. That's right. You'd been talking so casually with the man that you almost forgot he could initiate your death with a snap of the fingers.

You mulled over your options. Losing Kanji would be unbearable... but being with the Prince, who was engaged to another, would be a death sentence if you were caught. And wouldn't that be worse for Kanji? To have his sister dead?

Prince Iwaizumi seemed to sense your internal conflict and broke through your thought process, "If you don't agree to at least date me in secret, I'll kill your brother."

Your blood turned to ice. You were protesting before you even realized it, "No! No, don't, please! I'll date you- I'll marry you- I'll do anything- please my Prince, don't hurt him!"

The prince nodded, "Then we have a deal."

You shuddered, tears filling your eyes as you sniffled. Prince Iwaizumi turned to leave, before stopping in front of the door, turning back with one last comment before taking his leave.
