**Guinevere’s POV**

I wake the next morning wrapped in Charlie’s arms. He is sleeping so soundly that I do not want to wake him. I gently wiggle from his arms and walk down stairs. Remus and Tonks are huddled together on the couch sipping coffee.

“Good morning,” I say rubbing my eyes. They smile weakly at back at me. “Are the kids still sleeping?” I ask. Tonk’s grins and nods.

“I’m going to get the potion ready.” Remus tells me getting up. I watch as his hand slowly slips from Tonks’ hand. I hide my smile as I walk back upstairs into the boy’s room. They are starting to stir.

“Good morning, baby.” I tell both Jacob and Charlie Jr.

“Morning, momma.” They yawn in unison.

“Go down to uncle Remus and aunt Tonks. They are going to give you some medicine. I’ll be down with your sister in a minute. Grandma and grandpa are coming over for breakfast so be good!” I tell them as they two run down the stairs.

Right next door to the boy’s room is Allura’s. I slip through the door ready to embrace my beautiful baby girl. I walk in to find her wrapped in Fred’s arm sleeping soundly. They are both snoring softly. I watch for a minute before closing the door and sitting on the edge of the bed. I run my fingers through Fred’s hair. He looks sleepily up at me smiling.

“Is George still here?” He whispers.

“I don’t think so. I didn’t see him in the room.” I whisper back to Fred.

“He was in the guest room.” Fred replies just as Allura wakes.

“Remus is getting the potion ready. Why don’t you get Allura downstairs. The rest of the family will be here in a bit for breakfast. I’ll check on George.” I say just as Fred jumps out of bed stretching. He then puts Allura on his shoulders and heads to the kitchen.

I linger for a moment trying to take in everything that has happened within the last week. Between Mad-Eye being killed and George losing his ear and now Allura drawing my father—I’m just not sure what’s going on anymore.

“You okay?” I hear a small voice mutter from behind. I turn to see George sneaking through the door; his mangled ear is shining with infection.

“Yea,” I say, breath catching deep in my chest.

“I saw that.” He grins. I can’t help but to look guiltily at my feet. I can tell he feels the same because we stand in an awkward silence for a while. “So, this is the first time we have been alone in a while.” He adds. I nod nervously.

“Won’t Angelina worry since you’re not home? I ask curiously, trying to diffuse the tension. I watch his face grow pale.

“Umm- yea.” He mutters running his fingers through his long, red hair. “I just didn’t want to leave after last night. Especially after everything that happened with Allura. I just have a bad feeling about it. I don’t know what I would do if something were to happen to her.” He admits shyly.

“Seems both you and Fred—well everyone really, has taken a liking to her. Is it the autism?” I ask curiously.

“Partially.” He admits. “It makes me feel like she needs me, almost how it was with you and me.”

I swallow the lump in my throat. George begins to walk towards me. He doesn’t stop until I’m pinned in the corner. I can feel his warm breath on my cheek as he moves a stand of hair from my face. His lips linger by mine when we both hear the door creak open.
