**Guinevere’s POV**

“What!?” Tonks bellows in surprise. I hurriedly clasp my hand over her mouth.

“Shh!” I say looking over my shoulder for anyone who may have heard. Tonks grabs my hand and pulls me into Sirius’ study.

“So Cedric’s or Georges,” Tonks whispers trying to hide the smile that has spread across her face. I roll my eyes.

“Cedric’s. Wait—George? Why does everyone assume that George and I are the ones that have something going on?” I ask exasperated. Tonks giggles.

“Isn’t it thought?” She asks curiously. I shake my head.

“It’s Fred.” I reply sitting on the couch.

“Always seems like you and George.” She retorts sitting beside me.

“Funny you say that.” I say softly thinking about the ‘conversation’ I had with the deceased Cedric. I go on to tell Tonk’s about it.

“That’s very rare you know.” She tells me once I’m finished explaining.

“Wha—what?” I ask curiously. “You don’t think I’m borderline insane?”

“Well, yea I do. But everyone does, right?” She laughs. “But no, not about this. It’s a very powerful magic. Only those with superior mind control can cross over to the in-between. The person who crosses over calls out to the person they want to speak with—in your case Cedric. That’s really all I know about it. It’s so rare that we just know it’s possible. There isn’t a book that will tell you how it’s done. The person has to find out by his or her self. It’s a different journey for each person.”

I gape at Tonks. “Are you messing with me?”

She looks amused by my skepticism. “No, I’m very serious. Now back to this pregnancy thing, I can find out if you want. It’s a very simple spell.” I nod my head and she mutters a spell in Latin.  My body, in turn, glows gold then turns back to normal. “You’re not pregnant. If you were, you would have glowed pink for a girl and blue for a boy.”

“Well—um—that’s good. And weird.  Sorry to bother you with of this.” I tell her relieved yet somewhat sad because a part of me wanted this little piece of Cedric.

“You okay?’ Tonks asks with concern. I nod. “Well we better get back to dinner before Molly sends a search party for us.”

Both Tonks and I walk back into the room and take our seats. Dinner is just now being served.

“What was that about?” Mom asks us as she ladles out a bowl of onion soup.

“Guin just needed help deciphering if she needed to buy new robes.” Tonks replies smoothly. Mom looks at her strangely.

“She bought some new ones today.” Mom tells Tonks looking suspicious.

“She meant dress robes. You never know when you’re going to need them.” George tells her quickly. “She asked me what I thought and I said they looked fine but you know how Guin is--.” Mom seems satisfied with George’s smooth lie.

“Well do you need some? I can pick you some up this week and mail them to you.” Mom tells me as she cuts off some bread to hand out.

“No, they look fine.” I tell her as I put a spoon full of soup into my mouth.

“So are you excited to be going back to school?” Sirius asks the room. Everyone gives their ‘yes’, except Ron who glowers at the table.

Soon everyone in the Order is having conversations amongst themselves which gives Fred, George, Ginny and I time to talk unheard.
