**Fred’s POV**
It’s sad watching mom stare out the window hoping against hope that Guinevere will come back home. “It’s been two months, mum, she’s not coming back.” I tell her. She sighs and nods like always.
“I can’t believe I said that.” Mum says sadly for the millionth time.” Dad rolls his eyes for the millionth time but doesn’t say anything. “Do you think she’s safe?”
“Yes, mum. I talked to her yesterday.” I reply looking at dad. He was pretty upset when he heard what mum said to Charlie and Guinevere. I mean it’s not like she had no idea what was happening. She just took out her frustration about Bill and Fleur’s engagement on Charlie and Guin.
“Why can’t you tell me where she is so I can go see her?” Mum asks sobbing into her apron. I wish I never admitted that I knew where she was.
“I can’t, mum. She made me promise I wouldn’t tell anyone where she is. I told her you were sorry and she said it was okay, but she’s been really sick and doesn’t want anyone to see her.” I tell her. “She usually hides under a blanket when I come to visit. “I hear someone outside, I’ll be right back.” I tell her thankful for a distraction. Not telling mum was getting nearly unbearable.
“Hello, Mr. Weasley.” Dumbledore tells me smiling. I look at him in amazement.
“Come in!” I say opening the back door.
“That won’t be necessary. I just want to ask a favor.” He tells me still smiling.
“A favor? Of course, anything.” I reply.
“Tomorrow night I will be leaving Hogwarts. I need every member of the Order there to patrol the corridors. Please tell Guinevere she needs to be there too as an extra precaution.” Dumbledore requests happily as though this was a normal request.
“But, sir, Guin has been pretty sick.” I tell him hoping he will not make Guin go. I have a bad feeling about this.
“Her presence is essential. Please tell her to be at the gates no later than five.” He tells me. “I need to have a word with your parents. Go now.”
I immediately apparate to the Diggory’s house. “Good morning, Mrs. Diggory, is Guin here?” I ask politely. She smiles and tells me to go on in. Guin is sitting on the couch. She sees me and immediately pulls a large quilt over her body.
“Hey. Dumbledore wants you to be at the gates of Hogwarts at five. The Order is patrolling the halls in Dumbledore’s absence. He wants everyone there.” I tell her sitting beside her. She nods. “I’ll come by at 4:30 tomorrow and we can go together, but I guess I should go tell George and Angelina.”
“Alright, see you tomorrow.” She smiles as I walk back out the door. Once out of the house I apparate to the joke shop to let George, Lee and Angelina know what’s going on. They are all working with customers so I go to my office to tell Charlie.
I throw Floo powder in the fireplace and say ‘Charlie’ before sticking my head into the flames. Charlie is in bed sleeping. “Charlie!” I yell loudly. He bolts out of bed looking around wildly. He sees me and sighs in relief.
“What’s going on?” He asks. I tell him Dumbledore’s request.
“Step back, I’m coming over.” He tells me. I pull my head out of the fireplace. Seconds later Charlie walks through.
“So does he expect fighting?” Charlie asks looking worried. I shrug.
“I don’t know, he’s requesting Guinevere be there before anyone else. I don’t like the idea of it but her visions will save lives when it comes down to it.” I comment. Charlie’s eyes grow wide when I mention Guin. I mentally kick myself in the butt. Guin had made me promise I wouldn’t get involved in her and Charlie’s affairs.
