**Charlie’s POV**
I wake up in bed feeling extremely lonely. I search for Guinevere wanting to hold her tight but I don’t see her anywhere. Not wanting to get up and face reality, I pull the covers closer to my face. If someone would have told me a year ago when I first came home to visit on Christmas that I would be married with children just a short year later—I wouldn’t believe it. If they would have told me everything Guin and I had to go through to get there—I would have thought they were crazy.
As more noises fill the house, I begin to get up. I shower and dress quickly before heading downstairs. “Where’s Guin?” I ask the family as they sit around talking quietly.
“Upstairs getting ready.” Fred tells me snuggling Allura. She giggles in his arms as he tickles her. I grin at them before turning to go get Guin. Mum and dad just arrived so breakfast will starting soon.
I walk slowly upstairs dreading the day. I cannot deny that the thought of giving my children an unidentified potion doesn’t make me extremely sick to my stomach. I honestly want to get it over with. With that being said, I begin to search for Guinevere a bit more frantically. She’s not in the boy’s room or our room so I check Allura’s room. I peak in the door but do not see anything at first, but I open it wider when I hear a voice, my brother’s voice. I stand in the doorway just as he is about to kiss someone. That someone happens to be my fiancé. My blood boils and I feel my face heat up. He doesn’t have the chance to actually kiss her. He jumps back when he hears me coming in. I look over to Guin feeling completely betrayed. She stares at me with wide, fearful eyes. All I can seem to think about is how beautiful she is. Her pale cheeks are now flushed with a rose color while her wild, long hair cascades down her back and around her shoulders. I just want to embrace her but then remember the scene. All I can manage to mutter is, “mum and dad are here,” before I turn to leave.
“I need to go let Angelina know that I’m alright. She has probably been worrying all night.” I hear George explain to Guin. I pause while I eavesdrop.
“Yea, I bet she is. I would be.” I hear Guin reply awkwardly. “I told you she would be.”
“Right, well I’ll see you later.” George replies. I begin to walk towards the stairs again, that is until I hear Guin say, “Wait.” I stop dead in my tracks.
“Why didn’t Angelina come with you?” She asks. I can hear the curiosity in her voice. I can imagine George just shrugging, but I know the answer. We all do. George regrets marrying Angelina because it stopped him from ever being with Guinevere. The though angers me even more, but not at Guin. I’m not sure why, but I’m not mad at her. It’s like it’s my punishment for all the pain I put her through.
“It’s because of you.” He mutters.
“What—.” Guin begins but George interrupts her.
“It’s not what you think. Look, we all know that I never got over you. Hell, Angelina knows that. I think being around you makes her uncomfortable, but not just because of that; she was so terrible to you in school and she feels terrible about it. And she also knows I will never fully forgive her for it.” George retorts.
“Well, I forgive her. And she is part of the family and the Order now. So tell her to come for breakfast.” Guinevere tells George. I can just picture the smile on her face despite the awkwardness of it all.
“Alright, I will. How mad do you think Charlie is?” Georges asks Guin. I walk back to the room and shut the door gently behind me. I take a seat on the bed and stare up at George.
“Georgie, I’m your older brother. I will always love you and understand your situation with Guinevere. You guys have a history that Guin and I do not, but by a twist of fate things turned out the way they did. I know you both are probably confused. I’m not upset—although I probably would have punched you five minutes ago—but that’s beside the point. We all need to learn to let things from the past stay in the past. No more kissing my fiancé.” I demand as I grin at George.
“I’ll try.” He chuckles before apparating.
**Guinevere’s POV**
After George apparates Charlie walks from the room. I sink into Allura’s bed as his footsteps fade down the hall. “Wow,” I think to myself. “What have I done?” Although Charlie said he was fine, I knew better. He felt betrayed and I couldn’t say I wouldn’t feel the same. What George and I did was terrible, but even more so was that we both wanted it to happen, at least subconsciously.
I rub my exhausted eyes wanting nothing more to go back to sleep. The soft cotton sheets are calling my name. I rest my head on my pillow letting my eyes sink. I won’t mind escaping this terrible reality for a while. I am almost asleep when I hear the door slam open.
“It worked!” Hermione screeches! “The triplets are cured!”
I jump up excitedly as I turn to hug my babies. “You would have known had you come down earlier.” Charlie tells me rather sharply. I release the children as I swallow the lump in my throat. I almost want to run and hide. I’m sure the rest of the family notices Charlie’s tone as well.
“Excuse me.” I finally blurt out, eyes burning red and mind running off elsewhere. I run down the stairs in my robe and grab my wand and apparate. I cannot believe what I just seen.
