Well, my name is Guinevere Phoenix Mundt, Guin for short. I am a muggle born. My parents seemed completely ordinary until I received my letter to Hogwarts. We lived in a very rural place in America; however, after my letter, my mother moved us straight to London. She was ecstatic and claimed she had known it would happen all along.  My parents bought a small, somewhat crowded house with every bit their saved money. It wasn’t much, but it was home. It didn’t take long to settle into our new lives. My father found a job as a construction worker while my mom stayed at home and gave frequent music lessons to the community. She knew the piano and guitar better than anyone I had ever met. She taught me both by the time I was six. I had it perfected by ten. I also wasn’t a half bad singer, although I was shy and my only audience was my shower head.

My first three years of school seemed to fly by. I excelled in all of my classes. Being unpopular gave me plenty of time to study. I did have a few friends though. I met Fred and George Weasley on my very first train ride. I was shy at first but all that went away within the first ten minutes.

Now, my first three years at Hogwarts wasn’t really exciting, but they were fun. I was always with Fred, George, and Lee. We all became very good friends although they teased me about being so pale which I reminded the twins they were too. They never seemed to hear me. While I was the quiet yet smart mouthed type, I learned that the other three were quite the pranksters. I had countless detentions with them seeing as how we were always together, including in classes. The boys orchestrated the pranks while I was normally the lookout, which is why we got caught so often. I was horrible. I liked to doze off and forget what I was doing, good thing the boys just associated that with me being Guinevere, or Guinie pig as they liked to taunt.

I remember my first Christmas away from home. It was during my first year. The months flew by and it was finally December. I was thrilled to finally see my parents again, I was incredibly homesick; however, I got the disappointment of a lifetime when I found out I couldn’t go home. My mom was sick and she said she didn’t want me to see her like that, which worried me. Fred, George, and Lee were all very sympathetic.

I sulked around the castle the days leading to Christmas. Hearing everybody bragging about plans with their family depressed me. Fred and George did their best to cheer me up but it wasn’t until the day before everybody left for Christmas break that Fred and George cornered me in the Gryffindor common room.

“Well, don’t we have some good news for you,” the twins said in unison. I looked skeptical and they must have seen it. “Oh it’s not a prank. Have faith in us, Guinie pig! We were just going to tell you that mum said you could come spend Christmas with us at the Burrow.” Both twins stared intently at me.

“I don’t know…” I started to say but was cut off by “Pack your things, you’re coming. We already told our mum and she is excited to meet our new partner in crime. Oh, and she already wrote you mum and told her.” The twins winked at me and turned away.

I went up to my dormitory and packed my things then crawled into my nice, comfortable bed and quickly fell asleep. I woke late the next morning so I hastily ran to the showers to bathe and dress. When I was finished I took a quick glance in the mirror. My dark brown hair was almost down to my waist and my skin as pale as the moon. My cheeks were their normal pink tinged color but my small hazel eyes had bags under them. It must have been from the strange dreams. I was too excited to care. I walked down to the common room where Fred and George were sitting on the couch waiting for me.

“Hurry and get your things, Guin. We are leaving in ten minutes.” George told me. I walked back into my dormitory and gathered my possessions and together we headed out to the Burrow.
