“You’re obviously wondering why I have called you to this meeting,” Dumbledore states, his blue eyes are twinkling from behind his glasses. I nod looking nervously at him. “So, I take it you know what the next task is?” He asks. I nod once again. “Good, good. But you see I feel compelled to explain something to you. You see, each champion will have someone who means the most from them, taken. You are, of course, are Mr. Diggory’s prize; however, I have decided to make his prize Cho Chang.” I gasp in utter shock. I know the hurt was etched across my face because Dumbledore puts out a hand to stop me from questioning this. “Very few people are aware of your, shall we say, gift? I intend on keeping it that way. I do not wish for you to be his prize because I want to ask you to keep an eye out for harry. Someone is out to get him and I need you to alert me if you see anything out of the ordinary. And please do not give Mr. Diggory a hard time after this task. You, my dear, are his prize. Remember that. What everyone else sees in merely a distraction.”
When he is finished with his speech, I am dismissed. I, of course, give him my word to look out for anything unordinary. I do not bring up Moody; I am always shut out when I try to discuss this topic. I just hope Snape was being serious when he said he would investigate things.
I walk down to the lake, guitar in hand. These sneak outs to the lake have become incredibly frequent. Since the ball I have gained an enormous amount of popularity. Everybody thinks that befriending me will get them in good with the Weird Sisters. I still haven’t forgotten how they used to make fun of me for being the ‘freak with red eyes.’
Cedric is waiting for me at the lake. He has his new guitar in hand. He is almost as good as I am now, only he can’t carry a tune. I never tell him that though. He has enough charm and charisma to make up for it. Well, let’s not forget that he is insanely gorgeous.
“I figured out my egg.” Cedric tells me as soon as I am within earshot. “I just can’t figure out exactly what it means. I know it has something to do with the Black Lake.” He tells me everything the egg says. I chuckle.
“I think it means you are going to retrieve your ‘prize’ in the lake. You have an hour to get it.” I say immediately kicking myself in the butt for this. I had promised to keep the second task a secret and let Cedric figure everything out for himself.
I see it dawn on his face. “How am I going to breath underwater for an hour?” He asks worried.
“Bubblehead charm.” I state plucking at the strings on my guitar. I might as well make sure he doesn’t die now that I made sure he knew about what he was facing.
“Brilliant!” He exclaims throwing the egg to the side. “Now that the egg is taken care of—“ He says pushing me into the grass crawling on top of me. He begins to kiss my neck, and eases lower.
“I want you to help Harry. The task is two days away and I know he hasn’t figured out his clue. You owe him for the dragon.” I say. Cedric frowns but promises me he will help Harry tonight. He resumes his tease.

It is now the day of the Second Task. I make my way to the Lake with Fred and George who are placing bets once again. They invented tons of new products from all the money they made last time. I chuckle as they hustle money from everybody. I may have told them who wins the contest today.
I see Anton running towards me so I disappear behind George who looks up and glares at Anton. He makes sure to not expose me. For the last month I have been avoiding Anton. Not just because he tried to kill me, which wasn’t entirely his fault, but because Cedric was insanely jealous of him. The last thing I needed was another fight with Cedric with the two tasks ahead of us.
