Dipper's p.o.v.
We step into the 'problem' room and look around with a slight gasp it was a room filled with mounted animals, fur rugs, a pool table, a stuffed bear, and a fireplace. Hanging over it was a portrait of a lumberjack. "This is the main room where it's been happening," Pacifica tells us and we nod. "Yep, this looks like the kinda room that would be haunted alright. I wouldn't worry though. Ghosts fall under a ten-category scale. Floating plates sound like a category one," (y/n) explains, showing the page in the journal to Pacifica.
"So what? Are you going to bore him back into the afterlife by reading from this book," Pacifica asks and I pull out a bottle of anointed water. "Just gotta splash the sucker with some anointed water and he should be out of your probably fake blonde hair," I explain, adding in a burn as well, making (y/n) giggle as Pacifica angrily asks "What was that about my hair?!"
Our machines go off and we shush her, pulling out our detection devices, (y/n) and I start walking slowly around the room, looking for the source. Walking up to the fireplace I look up at the portrait of the lumberjack when my device turns off. "Come on stupid thing," I mutter, hitting the machine until it turns back on. "There we go," I look back up at the portrait to see the lumberjack had disappeared. "Uh (y/n)..." I say, tapping her shoulder, earning her attention.
Just as she looked up at the portrait, Pacifica let out a shriek. We turn to see blood dripping from the eyes and mouths of the mounted animals when the fire grew larger, all the heads soon chanting ancient sins repeatedly. Soon everything was floating in a circle around the room, Pacifica soon asking "Dipper! (y/n)! What is this?!" "It's a category 10," I respond as the bottle of anointed water shatters.
"Ancient blood and blackened skies, the forest shall once more rise" We hear the mounted heads start to chant and Pacifica starts shaking me "What do we do?! What do we do?!" "Don't worry it can't get worse than this," I respond when the fire grows larger and a flaming skeleton hand reaches out and we scream as the rest of the skeleton pulls itself out of the fire, a hatchet stuck in the middle of its head.
Quickly hiding under the pool table we watch skin form on the skeleton to reveal the lumberjack from the portrait with a blue flaming beard. "I smell a NORTHWEST!" The ghost shouts as he pulls out an ax from nowhere and lets it drag on the hardwood floor.
"Come out, come out wherever you are." "Hurry! Read through your dumb book already!" Pacifica instructs us, we were already flipping through pages of the book. "We're looking!" (y/n) whisper-shouts to her and I chime in "And it's not dumb ok? This book is gonna save our lives. Alright here we go, advice:" I pull out the black light and shine it over the page to read: Pray for mercy!
"Seriously?" (y/n) and I ask in disbelief when the table is flipped over and we let out a scream as we ran out of the room the lumberjack stating "You shouldn't have come here!"
Mabel's p.o.v.
I walk over to the food bar to get a snack where I find Candy moving a fondue fork between the chocolate fountain and the cheese fountain. Walking up I grab her hand and pull it away from the fountains. "Candy, listen to me carefully. You're caught in a sweet-savory loop but the fondue fork down." "I want too but I can't," We hear a ringing noise and the door opens to reveal Marius, oh my goodness he looks so much hotter in person.
All three of us stare at him in awe as he waves to us "Guten tag!" "Guten take me now!" I shout as I start to run after him when Grenda pulls me back reminding me of the truce. "Mabel, we had a truce." "Yes, yes, a truce. Uh, Grenda? Can you go fetch us some fancy napkins?" Candy asks. Once Grenda was gone Candy lays it on me.
"Listen, Mabel, I don't know if I can go through with this truce, he is too adorable." "Me too Candy but what do we do? He's unattainable!" I exclaim, Candy tapping her chin in thought. "What if we flirt with him as a team? With our cuteness combined, one of us might have a chance." "It is the perfect plan but what about Grenda?" I ask and Candy sighs out "I love Grenda, Mabel but these boys are fancy, her aggressive flirting style might scare him away," She gestures to Grenda flirting with a boy, pulling the 'what's on your shirt?' bit before flicking the boy's nose. We exchange a nod.
(y/n)'s p.o.v.
We race down the halls, following Pacifica mostly as the lumberjack ghost chases us. I'm so glad I had cut the fabric of the outer dress it would have been a pain to lift up while running now both flaps move to one side out of my way and the inner dress is short enough to not be lifted. "Hurry! Through the garden! Watch out for peacocks!" Pacifica directs us with a warning, Dipper had his nose buried in the journal so I would have to tug him out of the way of the peacocks as we trudged through the mud. "Dipper, any luck?!" I ask as he continues to search. "Not yet. Come on, come on, I got it! Haunted paintings can only be trapped in a silver mirror," He explains as we ran.
"Look, there's a silver mirror right there!" I shout, pointing at a silver mirror in a room completely filled with silver things just as we were about to run in, Pacifica pulls us back. "Wait! Don't go in there!"
