Escape From Reality: Part 6

Dipper's p.o.v.

"We've always been there for each other," I point out as more memories start to play throughout the Summer before I tell my sister, "Mabel I thought you were living a fantasy but look at me. I actually thought I was gonna stay here and be Ford's apprentice. Spend my entire teens cooped up in a basement with a lab coat? How ridiculous is that? I dunno what's gonna happen in the future but whatever it is you don't have to fear because we'll do it together. I'm not taking Ford's apprenticeship. We've traveled to heck and back to get you and we're going back together, leave this fantasy world, let's beat Bill and grow up together," I extend my hand out to her and the crowd starts murmuring to each other the judge slamming his squeaky gavel trying to bring back order.

"You mean it? You're really coming home with me?" "Yes, definitely, absolutely. Awkward sibling hug?" There's an assortment of gasps in the courtroom begging her not to do it. "You do this and it's all over!" The judge warns Mabel looks at me, tears pricking her eyes before smiling. "Sincere sibling hug," We hug and the judge gives another warning. "Don't do the pats!" We do the pats.

Mabel's p.o.v.

We part from the hug and I rub my eyes, I feel like I just woke up from a never-ending dream. "Oh man, I never noticed how bright this place is, and ugh have I actually been listening to the same song for an entire week?" I ask, squinting my eyes as I looked around before hearing the judge hiss and whine. "Woah, time to calm you down," I clap, and surprisingly nothing happens. I look around in confusion at the upset residents of Mabeland and clap again soon asking "Uh why isn't this working?" 

"Because your reign over this land is over!" The cat shrieks before he splits in half, turning into a disgusting horrifying creature and the residents were soon to follow. "Guys time to go. Now! Paradise has been canceled," (y/n) exclaims and we all run out of the courtroom to see even the world shriveled up and went sour as we hopped on Waddles and I tell him "Take us to freedom giant Waddles!" We rush towards the city limits as I grab a pin needle as we hop towards the bubble and I use the pin to pop it. "Sorry, Mabeland it's time to burst your bubble!" We roughly land and I make sure everyone is alright, causing a group hug before I turn to Dipper. "Hey Dipper? I appreciate what you said back there but if you wanna take Ford's apprenticeship I won't get in your way," He gives me a smile and scoffs. "And miss out on your awkward teen years? You wish," We laugh when (y/n) comes up and apologizes to me.

"Hey Mabel, I want to apologize to you for making you feel abandoned by asking Dipper to stay, I should've thought about how it would've affected you too," I smile and pull her in for a hug. "you're ok girl, I think we both just wanted the same thing and was unsure of how to handle it. But man I went nuts back there. I mean come on the real world can't be that bad right?"

I look around at the town to see the disastrous mess it had become as we head back into town. "Where is everyone?" "The town's deserted..." Wendy comments, causing Soos to ask "Did Bill already win?" "Come on guys let's go see if we can hide out in the shack," My brother says and we head back home to see it was still the ruins that we left it and we cheered. "Yes! It's in shambles just like we left it!" (y/n) exclaims and Wendy chimes in. "Oh man, this is the first time I've ever felt happy going to work." "Hello, house, hello porch, hello wads of gum I left stuck to the couch," I greet the couch when Dipper stops himself from opening the door. "What was that?" He asks and we all grab a weapon before busting into the Mystery Shack screaming to find Grunkle Stan and many of Gravity Fall's residents holding weapons and screaming at us. "Stan?" Me, Dipper, and (y/n) ask and he returns the question. "Kids?"
