Escape From Reality: Part 2

Dipper's p.o.v.

I help Wendy barricade the doors with anything and everything in the room when we feel the waffles trying to push through the door. "Guys?" Mabel asks and I reassure her. "Don't worry Mabel, we'll get you out of this!" "But Dipper-" She tries to say but once she realized I wouldn't listen she claps and suddenly we're floating in the air as we watch her put everything back before putting us in bouncy chairs, the waffle guards bursting in and pointing their knives at us. She claps again and they stop, causing me to ask "Mabel what are you doing? We're trying to save you from this prison!" "This isn't a prison, I made this world. Well, I sorta woke up here," Mabel exclaims as she clapped and the room lights up to reveal a room designed for her.

"It's complicated." "What are you saying?" "I'm saying this is my home now and I don't wanna be saved," She drops on us as she reveals a plaque that reads Mayor Mabel. She controls this place?! "What?!" I asked, shock written all over my face and she explains. "Look after you said you wouldn't come back home with me at the end of the Summer for your apprenticeship, I wanted to hide in my sweater forever. Then I woke up in a place that gave me exactly what I wanted: an endless Summer where we'll never have to grow up! Here the sun shines all day, the party never ends and now that you guys are here, it's finally perfect."

She tells us and guilt washes over me that I made her feel so upset but I point out to her, "Listen, Mabel, we're not here to party. All of this is crazy!" "Ugh, I figured you might say something like that Dipper, that's why I prepared a backup Dipper with a more supportive attitude," Another Dipper skateboards in, wearing popular clothes, shades, and his hat was on backward as he high fives my sister.

I cross my arms and glared at my doppelganger, she replaced me with him just because er disagree over something? Wow, what a low blow... "Wickety wickety what's up dudebros? I'm Dippy Fresh, I like skateboarding, supporting my sister,  and punctuating every sentence with a high-five!" Dippy Fresh tells us and holds his hand out for a high five. Soos goes to high-five him and I warn him not to with a cough and shaking my head at him. "Sorry I can't leave him hanging," They high-fived. "You're dead to me Soos." "Trust me, you guys are gonna love it here. This world always knows what you want, sometimes even before you do," Mabel exclaims when a chinchilla falls into her lap. "Apparently I wanted a chinchilla! Right again Mabeland!"

"Mabel listen to yourself! This is crazy! Look, I'm sorry about our fight and I'm sorry things aren't great right now but that doesn't mean you can just stay in here forever!" I try to reason with her and Dippy Fresh just had to open his mouth. "Hey, take a chill pill, those grow on trees here." "YOU STAY OUT OF THIS DIPPY FRESH!" I shout at him and Soos pulls me back.

"Dude, calm down, Dippy Fresh didn't do anything to you dawg," (he literally replaced Dipper) I growl, clenching my fists as Dippy Fresh skateboards away, probably to go grab a chill pill. "I know it seems to good to be true but just give this place a chance. Mabeland knows just what you want and always provides," Mabel speaks up before clapping and we were all healed up from our scrapes and bruises. "Uh actually Mabel I'm with Dipper on this, Gravity Falls is in trouble and I really think-" Wendy starts to back me up when we hear a car horn. Looking out the window we see a monster truck full of fireworks with Nate, Lee, Tambry, Thompson, and Nate in the truck. "Wendy!" "Guys? You're safe!" Wendy exclaims happily and our friends nod.

"We've got a monster truck full of fireworks, fake IDs, and pranking supplies. Wanna drive this truck through the high school and glue this plunger to the principal's head?" Her eyes go wide in excitement. "Yes. Yes, I do. Sorry guys I've always wanted to do that, I'll be back in just a few minutes," She hops in the truck and they drive off. "Wendy?" I ask in disbelief and Soos tells me "Don't worry dude, there's nothing in this world that could break me from our mission," The doors behind us slam open and a masked pro wrestler walks in.

"Soos Mio, I have returned." "Dad?" "You don't remember what I look like so I have the body of a pro wrestler, and a face you once saw on a hot sauce bottle. I was never there for you but in this world, I can be," Soos's "dad" tells him and he smiles exclaiming "You're perfect!" "It's a trap! Don't go with him, Soos! No matter what he offers you," I tell him but just like Wendy, he was sucked in by the bubble's trickery. "Want to play catch?" "I'm sorry dude, even if it is all a dream, I gotta play just one game," They run off and I turn to my sister. "Ok, this has gone too far, you can't honestly think these fantasies are good for anyone!" "You can't argue with the results. People are happy here, does it really matter if it's real or not? For once stop listening to your head and listen to your heart. Mabel land has something for everyone, even you! In fact..." The doors start to open and I turn my gaze away from it and walk out telling her "Nope, not looking. I'm not looking."
