The Last Mabelcorn: Part 5

Dipper's p.o.v.

"Dipper I'm bored," (y/n) complains, resting her head over my lap and I lean my head back groaning "I know, this is taking forever! How long have we been doing this for?" "Long enough for those two to take a nap," She responds and I look to see Great Uncle Ford and Grace to see them sleeping at their desk. "Why do they have to be so mysterious about Bill? We can handle the truth." That's when we could hear our thoughts from the machine. "I wonder what they're thinking." "Use the machine, it'll show you their thoughts..." "Should we though, haven't we messed enough using machines on people?" 

I ask and Dipper nods when both of our thoughts go "They won't know! Just a peek!" "How are we supposed to help if we don't know the truth?!" "Man, we're really good at rationalizing," I comment to (y/n) who nods as our thoughts thank us. Taking them off the helmets we put the helmets on Grace and Ford and turn to the screen to see Bill laughing maniacally before Fiddleford's voice rings out "Where are these ideas coming from? Who are you working with?"

 Stan's voice soon rings out as well. "Those two are dangerous know it all's."  Then the warning we were given. "He would trick or possess anyone," The screen then flips to Grace and Ford extending their hands out talking about "It was a deal," We're then shown the two, shaking Bill's hand who said "Just let me into your mind Stanford, Grace." "Please, call us friends," An image of Bill possessing both Stanford and Grace shows and he was cackling and we stare awe struck as (y/n) asks "Ford, Gram, and Bill, they..." We hear the two get up and stare at us, we couldn't see their eyes through the glasses, oh no! "You shouldn't have done that," Throwing toff the helmets, the clatter into somethings revealing tapestries made of Bill, a golden statue, and billions of notes about him.

"W-why were the both of you shaking hands with Bill? You said Bill could possess anyone so he could get this," I ask, grabbing the rift and in my panic almost dropping it though (y/n) helped me catch it and Grace warns me "Careful! Hand us the rift now," She demands and we start to back up, (y/n) grabbing the mind eraser and pointing it at the two as we backed away from them asking:

"Why were you really scanning our thoughts? Are either of you or the both of you Bill right now?!" "Now just calm down p-" Ford starts to say and I cut in asking "Pine tree?! Is that what you were gonna call me? Or where you gonna call her Firefly?!" "I was gonna say please kid!" "Great Uncle Ford and Grace told us to protect the rift, come one step closer and I'll shoot!" (y/n) threatens as we back up into a wall. "I'll erase you right out of their heads!" "(y/n), Dipper it's us, it's your Uncle and Aunt!" Grace tries to reason and I repeat "Trust no one, trust no one, (y/n) shoot!" I shout as they lunge toward us shouting "Just hand it to us!"

(y/n) lets out a shot and it bounces off of Ford's glasses and starts bouncing everywhere, we all hit the deck as the shot goes haywire before shooting into the tv and breaking it. Just as we were about to get up Ford grabs me and Grace grabs (y/n) and we both start struggling, demanding that they let us go. "Now just calm down, look into our eyes, at our pupils it's us you two," Ford reassures and after they both readjust their classes we can see it really was them and we're set back down.

"We...We tried to erase your mind...I'm so sorry," (y/n) apologizes hugging her aunt. "It's ok Sugar, besides our minds can't be erased anyway remember we got metal plates." Grace reassures her and Ford comments "If that really was Bill though, you two woulda done great, we should've been more like you two when we were young. Kids we were fools to try and hide all this." "But we did tell Stan we'd try to keep all this away from you to keep you safe, though that's not possible anymore," They tell us before explaining their relationship with Bill. "The reason we've been trying to prepare you for Bill's tricks is because Bill tricked us. It's the biggest regrets of our lives. Bill wasn't always our enemies kids,  we used to think he was a friend, long long, ago."
