Roadside Attraction: Part 3

(y/n)'s p.o.v.

"Yeah so you can't get too romantic with him but you can spend some quality time with him so don't worry Can-Can Mabel's got a plan," My eyes widened at Mabel's words did she honestly think a warning to not get too romantic with Dipper would work? That night I went to bed earlier and ignored the girls during breakfast.

Dipper's p.o.v.

We were on the road to the next attraction Grunkle Stan soon addressing all of us. "Alright, campers we got another day of breaking laws and makin' friends. Everything up until now has been a walk in the park compared to our next attraction." "Is it a walk through the world's biggest park?" Mabel pipes up and Stan shrugs. "Sort of. There she is kids Mystery Mountain. Five times the size of the Mystery Shack and what's worse, she has real attractions." "Oh! I have read about this place, it has a sky tram and a mummy museum and they have half things like half human and half spider creatures," Candy pipes up and Grunkle Stan scoffs. "Even their made-up legends are better than ours...Today the mountain falls." "Question: The backseat makes me car sick can I sit up front today?" "Also question: I'm the size of two people can I have a whole seat to myself?" 

Grenda and Mabel suddenly ask resulting in my sister pushing me toward the back of the seat after I notice Grenda was using her feet to block the seat next to (y/n) who seemed to be glaring out the window.  Looking to the side I see Candy sitting next to me and I point that out. "But wait, then it'll just be me and-" "Candy too! Sixth grade!" She bursts out interrupting me as I buckle up.

"Hey..." I awkwardly trailed off as I silently wished I was sitting next to (y/n) instead, only hearing it more when Candy scoots closer to me and I notice her bright red face. "You're sitting close..." "So Dipper I was wondering would you maybe want to walk around the Mystery Mountain with me today?" She suddenly asks and I scootch away from her to collect some distance as I draw out a "Suuuuure, isn't that already the plan?" "I mean just us, you and me, Candy and Dipper," My eyes go wide as I realized she was asking me out and I had just made the mistake of agreeing when the RV stopped.

"Alright Road Dogs, I've got five bucks for whoever can tip the big blue Ox," Grunkle Stan says as we rush out, Candy waving to me as she tells me "I'll see you in there," There is no way this could get any worse. That's when (y/n) approaches me excitedly stating "Grunkle Stan just needs my help with one thing and then we can spend the rest of the time here together. I'll come find you when I'm done," I give her a thumbs up and smile before we kiss and she takes off. As I step out of the RV I frown and Stan asks "Hey what's with the mopey mug kid, I'm giving you some time to spend with (y/n)."

"Stan, you gotta help me, everything you taught me worked too well I think Candy just asked me out on a date!" He crosses his arms and shrugs asking "So? You said no right?" "Well not exactly, I didn't think she meant it as a date until it was too late and I don't know what to do, (y/n) is the only one for me and I don't want to lose her because she might think I'm cheating on her if she sees me with Candy," I dump on Grunkle Stan while pacing before I sit on the RV steps, hyperventilating while grasping my shirt. "Ok, I just need to be honest with her and tell her I have a girlfriend already and I'm not willing to trade her for anything." Grunkle Stan lets out a chuckle as he tells me "That's what you should've told her in the first place, I'm just happy you're choosing (y/n), now if you'll excuse me..." He walks up to the lady in the ticket booth and starts flirting with her and I sigh realizing Grunkle Stan wasn't going to help me. I just need to break the news to Candy before (y/n) finishes her task and finds me.
