Author: Most of the things described in this chapter came from the video up above because it pictured how that Summer really affected the twins.

(y/n)'s p.o.v.

It had only taken a few hours for us to get to Piedmont, California where Dipper and Mabel's parents were waiting for them. They were shocked when they learned I was Dipper's girlfriend, they had admitted they were expecting Mabel to come back stating she had a boyfriend, not Dipper much less bring her along. We helped them pack their stuff into their parent's car and we had our actual goodbyes. Mabel had told me to take care of myself and I responded by telling her to try not and rush into a relationship as she continued forward. Saying goodbye to Dipper though was much harder...

"So I guess this is it..." He trails off, his hands stuffed in his pockets. "Y-Yeah at least until next Summer. You guys are gonna go back next year right?" I ask hopefully and he nods. "Definitely. We'll beg and pull out the puppy dog eyes if we have to," We both laugh before quieting down unsure of what to say. "I'm gonna miss you so much," I admit and he pulls me into a hug stating "Me too. I love you (y/n)." "I love you to Mason," We kiss before Aunt Shelli and his parents intervene with the excuse that both of us had to go. With one more wave goodbye, I watch the twins drive off towards their home and I turn to Aunt Shelli with a sad smile. "I guess it's our turn huh? To Maine?" "Maine? I don't live there, wherever did you get that idea?" She asks with a smirk and I give her a confused look. "But Grunkle Stan said...But if you don't live there where do you live?"

"Here in Piedmont, California," My eyes widen in realization, depending on how far we were I could continue to see the twins on a daily basis. "Come on, we gotta get you moved into your new room, and I think it's about time you met your mother," Aunt Shelli says as she leads a confused me to a car and we go to my new home.

"M-My Mom? But hasn't she been missing for years?" I ask as I'm led into the house when I hear her voice. "Not exactly, it's great to see you (y/n)," My mother walks up and gets down on my level with her hand extended out for a handshake. "I'm so confused what is going on?!" I ask, looking between the two adults. "This is your mom, you'll be living with her from now on, Stanley, Stanford, and Grace made it perfectly clear they don't want me as your guardian for longer than a few hours...Understandably..."

I then turn to my mother who explains. "I'm an FBI agent and after you were born I was stationed in another country for a top-secret mission that I couldn't even tell my family about, I wasn't even given enough time to leave a not which is why Shelli here was always looking for me, thinking I just abandoned you and the family. The mission was only supposed to last a couple of years but things didn't go as planned which only made it last longer. I only got back into the country a couple of months ago and I've been looking for my sisters ever since. So if you'll let me I'd like to raise you and get to know the girl you've become," I smile at my mom, happy she was giving me the choice and I agree.

I stare up at the high school in front of me and gulp in nervousness hoping things would go well, I was now a freshman and I wished Dipper and Mabel were here so I could have at least some friends walking in after all I am still an introvert, guess that's what happens when you grow up around them. Then again I doubt any kids had my kind of weird childhood. As I enter in I look around at the various students talking among their friend groups and take a breath. I can do this. Most of the school day had gone how I thought it would, learning how classes worked and I didn't really talk to people. That was until I got to my last period. "(y/n)?!" I hear after entering the classroom and look around to see at the other end of the room was Dipper and Mabel?! "Dipper? Mabel? Is it really you?" I ask as I approach them and Dipper was quick to get up from his seat. "You go here too?! I thought you didn't live here!" Before I could respond the twins pull me in for a tight hug and I return it, happy to have my two besties here with me.

As the year went on and I kept on spending my time at the twin's house I started to realize the actual toll Bill and Weirdmaggedon had on all three of us, it seemed to hit Dipper the hardest though because more than often his sister and I would find him still theorizing on Gravity Falls, about Bill's existent and if he was still alive, there were questions about memory loss and dream meanings.

Of course, I always was there helping him theorize because if I was being honest I had been asking the same questions he had been and this had led us to make our own journals. It was designed the same way the originals were except the symbol was of a pine tree surrounded by fireflies.

As we started having more and more sleepovers I learned from Mabel and saw with my own eyes that Dipper had started having nightmares about Bill and the destruction of Gravity Falls which he always confided to me about since I would have nightmares about Bill too. of course I still had a few nightmares about that annoying triangle they weren't as recurring and I was always there to help him get through it. As high school went on we made a few new friends but our friend group was still pretty small compared to our friend group in Gravity Falls and the local mean girls liked to pick on Dipper and me for our small friend group and for us being researching conspiracies and whatnot, calling us monsters and claiming we didn't know how to communicate.

But Mabel would always come to our rescue and we'd have each other's back. We continued to go back to Gravity Falls every Summer as well where after some digging Dipper and I eventually found Bill or at least a statue of Bill with his hand extended out, ready to make a deal.

This only seemed to make Dipper more paranoid and worried for our beloved town more as more nightmares came and it always felt like he had to reassure us that he was ok which resulted in their parents being reluctant to let them go back to Gravity Falls. On a good note though Grunkle Stan, Ford, and Gram would also come back to Gravity Falls every Summer and even Melody had moved to Gravity Falls to help Soos run the Mystery Shack.

But with each visit back to Gravity Falls it seemed to ease Dipper's mind more and more that Bill wouldn't be coming back and that the town was safe. We've also managed to properly befriend Pacifica and Gideon. It was extremely clear Gideon still had a thing for Mabel but he wasn't pushing it, who knows? Maybe in the future, they will get together but for now, they're just friends.

We're currently on the bus to Gravity Falls, we had just graduated from high school a few weeks ago and we'd be turning 18 this Summer, ready to start our college life. Grunkle Stan, Ford, and Gram had offered to teach us so we could stay in Gravity Falls and still earn a degree which we were quick to accept. When we get off the bus we see Grunkle Stan, Gram, Ford, Wendy, Robbie, Nate, Lee, Thompson, Tambry, Soos, Melody, Pacifica, and Gideon waiting for us. Once we got off and greet everyone I turn to Dipper and smile to see him smiling as well as he looked on at the shack and the direction of the shack as if he felt at home and finally realized Gravity Falls, our home was safe. I walk up to him and give him a kiss, happy to know that he was finally moving on from Bill and Weirdmaggedon, and happy that we were still together and the three of us were as strong as ever, we hadn't fallen apart like their uncles and my aunt, we were ready to start our new lives in Gravity Falls and if things kept going the way they were going it wouldn't be long before Dipper would ask me...

"(y/n) will you marry me?"
