(y/n)'s p.o.v.

We came back to the shack and we were suggested to let Mabel know what was going on while Ford and Gram prepared the procedure to patch up the rift. Excitedly Dipper rushed into the attic to tell his sister the news. "Mabel! I just had the best day of my life! UFOs are real and there's one under the town and (y/n) and I saved Great Uncle Ford and Grace's life and...And...Hey, are you ok?" He asks after noticing she was curled up on her bed facing away from us.

"Tell me it's not true Dipper, tell me you were joking," She says as she turns toward us, clutching the walkie-talkie and we gasp. She had heard the whole thing. "Look I was thinking and this is a huge opportunity for me," Dipper tries to explain, causing Mabel to tear up as she shouts "Well it's a horrible opportunity for me!" I take a step back from the twins I had no right to be a part of this conversation, this was between siblings, and anything I said would make this worse especially since she heard me ask Dipper to stay... "I had the worst day of my life! When we turn thirteen the Summer ends and I have to leave everything behind. You were the only person I could count on and now you're leaving me too?!" She asks and Dipper tries to reassure her it'll be ok.

"Look I've been thinking about it. I won't be gone forever ok? I'll still visit you at home and we'll chat online, we'll make it work." "I don't want it to work! I just wish Summer could last forever..." Mabel trailed off, tears streaming down her face as she stared down at her Summer scrapbook. "But it can't Mabel, things aren't gonna stay frozen this way. It's part of growing up. Things change...Summer ends," Dipper tells her as he sits down next to her.

She gives him a heartbroken look before taking off, causing Dipper to faceplant as she grabs one of the bags and runs off with me shouting "Mabel wait! He didn't mean it like that! Mabel come back!" "What do we do? We have to seal the rift but Mabel-" "I'll go after her," I say cutting Dipper off and he shakes his head. "What? No! She heard everything! She'll lash out at you!" "Then I'll take it, it's what I get for being selfish. Dipper when I asked you to stay I didn't think about how this would affect her or anyone else I asked because just like her I'm not ready for the Summer to end and she needs to know she's not alone so if lashing out will make her feel better and help her, I'll do it, you help Ford and Gram patch the rift," I hand him the bag and he takes with an apprehensive look but agrees none the less.

Mabel's p.o.v.

Grabbing my bag I run straight into the woods and kept going till my legs hurt and I sit down next to a tree as I dig through the bag. Only party chocolate can cheer me up now. I pull out some notepads and some chewed-up pens. "Nerd books? Chewed-up pens? Ugh, wrong backpack...It's not fair...I just wish Summer could last forever..." I trail off as I pull my sweater over my legs and over my head, entering Sweater Town. "That might be possible," I suddenly hear and I frown, telling whoever it was that Sweater Town wasn't accepting incoming calls right now.

"M-M-Mabel it's me," I peek out and look around asking "Who said that?" The time traveler guy walks out of the shadows stating "I can help." "The time traveler guy? What are you doing here?" I ask him and he gives me a smile. "You said you don't want Summer to end right? D-Did I hear that right?"

"Yeah...Why are you asking?" "Look maybe it's against the rules but you once did a favor for me so I thought I could help you out. It's called a time bubble and it prevents time from going forward. Summer in Gravity Falls can last as long as you want it to," He tells me, piquing my interest. "Really? But how does it work?" I ask him and shows me an image of some nerd thing on his watch. "I just need you to get a little gizmo for me from your uncle. Something small, he won't even know it's missing," I don't recognize it and my gaze shifts to Dipper's bag, he might have something. I start digging through his bag to find exactly what Blendin wants.

Dipper's p.o.v.

After (y/n) takes off into the forest after Mabel I trudge down to the lab dragging my bag, when Great Uncle Ford sees my downcast face he asks "Let me guess, Mabel didn't take it well?" "I...I dunno maybe I'm making the wrong decision, I need to think about this." "Where's (y/n)?" Grace asks when she turns and sees she wasn't standing next to me. "Mabel ran off and she went after her." "Well we can find those two in a little bit but right now we need to focus on the mission. Come on we've got the glue, hand over the rift, and let's make history," I dig in my bag for the rift only to pull out one of Mabel's invites for our birthday party. "What? Oh no! The rift!"

Mabel's p.o.v.

"Is this it?" I ask, showing him the gizmo and he nods excitedly, exclaiming "Yes! That's it! Hand it over and I'll do my thing unless you're ready to leave Gravity Falls?" I frown at the idea of leaving and hand it to him muttering "Just a little more Summer," He drops the thing and it shatters, the floating black stuff spilling all over as he proceeds to stomp on it with a maniacal laugh as he takes off his goggles to reveal Bill's eyes. "Oh no! Wait, wait, wait-" I try to say when he gives me an evil grin and snaps and I go unconscious.

Dipper's p.o.v.

After I tell Ford and Grace Mabel has the rift the three of us raced outside to see a four-sided tear in the blood-red sky and I ask "What's going on?! What is that?" "We're too late. It's the end of the world," Ford tells me and my eyes widen as I look into the forest, worry building up for Mabel and (y/n).

(y/n)'s p.o.v.

I run into the woods after Mabel and call out for her even though I knew full well she wouldn't answer me anytime soon. I was getting deeper into the woods by now and was worried that she might have gotten lost when just up ahead I heard laughter? I run closer to find Blemdin hunched over laughing before my gaze turns to the ground at an unconscious Mabel. "Mabel!" I shout as I fall to my knees and shake her and plead for her to wake up.

My attention turns back to Blendin as Bill comes out of him exclaiming happily "At last. At long, long last! The gate between worlds has opened! The event a billion years prophesized has come to pass! The day has come, the world is finally mine!" The wind starts to pick up as a laser shoots up into the sky and creates a four-sided tear in the blood-red sky where the shattered rift lay, Bill's laughter echoing out. Fear courses through my veins as I stood there staring up at him in shock, unsure of what to do. I couldn't fight him and if I ran would I make it back in time before he could grab me? Then there was Mabel to think about, I can't just leave her here, what do I do? My legs start moving on their own as I slowly stood up and turned around as I tried to sneak away when Bill popped up in my face.

"Firefly! It's been a while, how've you been? Still with Pinetree?" I take a few steps back away from him as I ask "You really think this'll last? We'll find a way to stop you, this isn't over," All I can do now is hope that Gram, Ford, and Dipper are racing through the woods to find us but would they get here in time before Bill did something? Bill proceeds to laugh in my face as he tells me "But you see Firefly I've already won," With that, he snaps his fingers and I feel drowsy instantly as I began to stumble back and forth and I turn towards Mabel, her name escaping my lips before I tumble to the ground unconscious.

"Mabel..."
