Dipper's p.o.v.

"Yes! It is, you wanna play with me, Grunkle Stan?!" I ask excitedly and he laughs. "Look kid, I prefer to do my dice rolling in Vegas. Besides only a game designed by nerds would have charisma as a fantasy power. Heh, check this out: When facing yon adversaries shield thyself under an Elvan buttress," He makes fun of the game, and Mabel and him laugh.

Grabbing the book I tell them "Hey! Laugh all you want but you guys just aren't smart enough to understand it." "Sorry dude but it is kind of nerdy. Well, I'm off to lay siege to a goblin fortress. To my Grandma's backyard!" Soos charges off and I sigh, walking out of the room with my game.

(y/n)'s p.o.v.

I enter the shack with an empty bucket, I had refill Ghomper's water bowl when I notice staring glumly at a board game and I walk up. "Hey, Dip Chip, what's wrong?" I ask as I approach. "I found Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons at the store but nobody will play with me..." "Did you say D&D and more D? Man I was practically raised on that game!" I tell him excitedly and he perks up. "Does that mean you wanna play?" "Of course! Let me just fill Ghomper's water bowl and then we can play outside."

A few minutes later and we're sitting outside playing, it was Dipper's turn to roll. "Shoot, you rolled a 17, how much damage is that?" "Nine," I tally off nine points off my health before grabbing the dice and roll it when it rolls under the house. "No my 38-sided die!" Dipper says and I tell him "I'll get it."

Crawling under the house I reach for the dice when the portion under me collapses and I fall through a hole screaming. "(y/n)!" Dipper shouts as he crawls in after me, his screams soon mixing in with mine.

We both faceplant into the floor before getting up and noticing the mess we made. Ink splattered the floor, the jar holding the octopus creature from this morning had shattered and Journal number two laid open. I pick up the journal and Dipper his die when two shadows loom over us. "Dipper, (y/n), stop!" "Great Uncle Ford!" "Gram!" Gram starts to scold us.

"What did we tell you about coming down here? Our work is far too dangerous for you two to be down here and poking around! I want both of you to-" "Grace wait! Is that a 38-sided die from Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons?" Ford cuts Gram off to ask his question, catching her attention too. "Yeah! You know that game?" Dipper asks and the two smirk at each other before reciting the game's quote and we join in. "With pen and paper, shield and sword our quest shall be our sweet reward!" We all burst out laughing Gram stating "This is our favorite game in the whole multiverse, I'm surprised they still make it."

"They do! We were just starting to play if you want to join," Dipper offers and we look at them with hope in our eyes, the more players the better! "Grace, do you know what this means?" Ford asks Gram and she nods before they both smile.

"We must stop everything we've been working on at once and play!" That's when the Cycloptopus attacks Ford's face but he pulls it off quickly, his smile unwavering. "That's going to leave a mark." "Nothing some ointment and lotion can't fix," Gram tells him and we quickly do that while setting up the game.

Grunkle Stan's p.o.v.

"Ok, I think we've got everything we need to watch the season finale of Duck-Tective tomorrow. I even made mouth ramps so we can pour food into our mouths without taking our eyes off the screen," Mabel tells me as we look at our huge snack display for tomorrow. "And I re-created the main character out of rare taxidermy parts," I say stapling a rooster's head to a beaver's body and adding a detective's hat to it.

"Quack, quack, I'm the Duck-Tective, who stole my meatloaf," I joke as we laugh. "That is so messed up Dipper and (y/n) would love that!" The head tears off as I look around. "Yeah, where are those little squirts anyway? I haven't seen them all afternoon," Mabel shrugs and I slightly frown, usually at least (y/n) would be here with us, I miss my little sidekick.

Gram's p.o.v.

We had set up the game and decided to go 2 against two, Ford and I were the dungeon masters while Dipper and (y/n) were our adventurers. Ford was currently twiddling the 38-sided die with his fingers while I told the story.

"You've entered the chamber and Princess Unatanibelle beckons you." "But wait! It's a trap! An illusion cast by Probabilitor the annoying!" Ford jumps in and (y/n) looks at Dipper. "You know his weakness right?" He nods and the two start to say in unison "Prime statistical anomalies over 37 but not exceeding fifty-one!" They roll their dice, it would be a direct hit. "Yes! In your face you cardboard wizard!" Dipper shouts and the two high-fives and I can't help but smile, they reminded me of Ford and I when we were their age, and I start to wonder if maybe they'll...

"Hm...The old boy looks a bit different than he did back in our day," Ford says, catching my attention and I nod. "Yeah, they change the art every few years. Thankfully you missed the period where the creators of the game tried to make it "cooler"," Dipper explains before both kids shudder.

"Must've been dark times those 90s." "Yeesh, sounds like a good time to be stuck between dimensions." "Yeah about that...Ford, Gram where were you before you came out of the portal? What have you guys been doing down here? Dipper and I have a lot of questions we want to ask you," (y/n) says and Ford and I exchange looks, we did tell Stan we'd keep them away from this stuff.

"(y/n) it's best if you two and the family stay away from that subject, honesty Grace and I aren't sure you can handle the real answer," Ford tells them and Dipper is quick to argue, definitely takes after Ford. "But we can handle it-" "Aha but I can show you a little something we brought back," Ford takes out his brown bag, and out came his dice and a cheap plastic box. Opening it up, he shows the kids the infinity die. "An infinity-sided die." "Woah...That's so cool!" "And impossible," The kids' comment as they stared at it.
