(y/n)'s p.o.v.

"Wait! Don't go in there! This room has my parent's favorite carpet pattern. They'll lose it if we track mud in there," Pacifica tells us and we give her a look of disbelief. "What? Are you serious?" Dipper asks as he tugs himself free but Pacifica blocks him. "We'll find another way," We hear the lumberjack ghost approaching.

"Pacifica we don't have time for this let us through!" I say as we start fighting with Pacifica. "No! You can't!" "Why not?! Is a stupid re-washable or re-placeable rug more important than stopping this ghost? More important than your life?!" I ask as we continue to fight. "Yes! My parents will kill me if we track mud in there!" "Why are you so afraid of your parents?" Dipper asks and she shouts back "You wouldn't understand-" We fall through a painting at the end of the hall and fall into a dusty old room.

"What is this place?" Dipper asks as he helps me up and even Pacifica looks around confused. "That's weird I don't even know where this room is." "Hopefully the ghost doesn't know either," I comment looking around and Pacifica nods.  "Yeah, maybe we're safe," I turn around to see the ghost trying to sneak up on Pacifica with a cloak that was hanging from a mirror or a painting. "Pacifica watch out!" I shout as I race to her and tackle her out of the way.

Dipper's p.o.v.

The ghost knocks over a box and a bunch of silver things fall out especially a silver mirror. Quickly I pick it up and run in front of the girls who had been cornered by the ghost, who was preparing to throw down his ax. "Prepare to die Northwest!" I hold up the mirror, hopefully trapping the ghost inside as were pushed out a window and roll down into the garden.

"Did you get him?" Pacifica asks after we came back to our senses. Checking the mirror I see the lumberjack pounding on the glass in anger and we start laughing in happiness as we celebrate when Pacifica pulls (y/n) and me in for a hug shouting "We did it!" Once realizing what she was doing she hastily pulls back and coughs out nervously "Can I pay you to pretend that never happened?" (y/n) gives her a smile stating "You're good girl," I nod as we head back inside to tell Pacifica's parents the job was done.

"Well, Pacifica you really found the right people for the job," Mr. Northwest says, snapping his fingers and the butler starts shaking our hands as Mrs. Northwest tells us "We can't thank you enough. That's enough," The butler stops shaking our hands.

"Just holding up our end of the deal," I say as (y/n) and I start walking off to take care of the ghost when Pacifica stops us. "Wait leaving already? You're at the world's best party dummies." "Oh we'll be back just got a category ten ghost to dispose of," I tell her and walk confidently into a podium. (y/n) lightly chuckles as she grabs my hand ad leads me out the door. "A category ten," As we walk out (y/n) comments "Call me crazy but Pacifica doesn't seem that bad after all," I nod when the ghost starts laughing and I lift up the mirror suspiciously.

"What are you laughing about man? We defeated you." "You've been had, kids. You remind me of me one hundred and fifty years ago." "What do you mean?" (y/n) asks and the lumberjack tells us his tale. "One hundred and fifty years ago today. The Northwests asked us lumber folk to build them a mansion on top of the hill. We were told it'd be a service to the town and once a year they'd throw a grand party and all would share in the bounty. It took years of backbreaking labor and sacrifice but when it was time for the grand party they promised the common folk of the town they refused to let us in. With the trees gone the mudslides began. While they partied and laughed I was swept away by the storm. And so I said with final breath: One fifty years I'll return from death and if the gates still closed to town wealthy blood will stain the ground. A curse passed on until this day."
