Mabel's p.o.v.
After Soos and I rsvp the gym for our birthday, we leave the school and I pull out my walkie-talkie. Master Mabel to Dippity Dawg, we can have our party at the gym but we gotta talk about high school, I'm starting to think it might not be the awesome future we were expecting over..." I admit and I'm met with a static-ey "We're going through a bad patch Mabel, we'll talk when we get back." "Dipper? (y/n) come in?" Soos walks up to me and gives me a reassuring smile as he told me "I know what'll make you feel better, let's deliver some invites to your friends huh?" "Yeah!" I hop in Soos's truck but the high school's billboard catches my attention and my face drops as I read 'No escape'.
Grace's p.o.v.
We continue to walk up the hill while Dipper and (y/n) tried to get a hold of Mabel through their walkie-talkies. "Listen, kids, in order to seal the rift for good, it's going to take an adhesive stronger than anything on Earth. Something extraterrestrial in origin," Ford says coming to a stop as we overlooked the peculiar rock formation in front of us. "What do you mean?" Dipper asks and we stand next to the kids at their level as I point toward the rock formation. "Look at the peculiar shapes made by those cliffs. Does it remind you of anything?"
They both stared at it while Ford and I pulled out our matching UFO keychains and dangle it in front of them, their eyes growing wide. "Shut up." "According to our research, the entire valley of Gravity Falls was formed when an extraterrestrial object crash-landed here millions of years ago. Did this crash cause the town's strange properties? Or did the town's strange properties attract the craft? The answer is still unknown," Ford explains, confusing Dipper as he asks "But that's crazy! Where did the saucer go?!" I give him a smile as I started to move a rock stating "Sometimes the strangest things in the world are right under our noses," The kids stared down at the hatch in awe as Ford pulls out the magnetizing gun and warns the kids.
"Now you might wanna stand back, this magnet gun could rip the fillings out of a man's mouth from a hundred feet," He uses the gun to open the hatch, (y/n) asking "How did you know this was here?" "We used to raid this thing for parts for years, you might've been too young to remember it but this is where we got the materials to build the portal," I explain Dipper silently freaking out as (y/n) asked, "This is the place we always came too?!" I nod as I pass her and Dipper their own magnetizing gun and we start to head down.
"Don't worry, we've been down here countless times, all the aliens have been dead for millions of years. Probably." "I can't believe there's been a giant UFO underneath the town this whole time!" Dipper exclaims excitedly and Ford sighs as he reminisces when we first found this place. "I wish my mind could be where yours is right now Dipper when confirmation of extraterrestrial still had that punch. Now it's just sort of eh," We reached the bottom and started looking around for the adhesive, the kids looking around in amazement. "McGucket would come down with us all the time to raid their tech and study their language." "This is so cool!" We hear Dipper say and we turn around with a smile to see they were taking a picture next to the ancient language written on the walls.
"The substance we need to seal the rift is an alien adhesive, strong enough to keep the hull of a spacecraft together. Just one dollop of this adhesive and it should be enough to seal the crack in space-time. But be careful if it touches you it will seal up all the orphases in your face," I tell them, flipping through the second journal and I show them the picture of what we're looking for.
"Now use your magnet gun and follow me," Ford says, turning on his gun before jumping toward a pillar and sliding down in it, freaking Dipper out. "Your turn! Say ha! it helps!" He shouts out and Dipper starts pacing. "Ok just gotta turn on the magnet gun and leap down the hole," (y/n) walks up and lightly grabs his hand telling him "It'll be ok, we've done this thousands of times," (y/n) the proceeds to follow in Ford's footsteps and slides down the pillar. After a few tries Dipper finally gets his gun to turn on and he jumps but shoots at the roof instead and he calls down "A little help?!" "I got you!" I call out as I go up and help him.
Mabel's p.o.v.
We arrive at Grenda's house and I excitedly rush up to the door and knock. "Oh hi, Mabel. You're just in time for our one o'clock boy talk," Grenda says as she and Candy open the door and I hand them an invite stating "If you think that's good boom! Me and Dipper's 13th birthday jam." "Aw man, your birthday is on the last day of Summer? I'm not gonna be here," Grenda tells me, and my face drops. "What?" "Marius is flying me out to Austria to hang out at his castle or whatever. He's so clingy!" "You're gonna be out of town for my birthday? But at least you can come right Candy?"
