Weirdmageddon: Part 6

Dipper's p.o.v.

Once we got past the weirdness bubbles one of the trucks caught up to us and started slamming into us when I point up ahead telling Wendy "Wendy! We're almost there, we just have to make that jump!" "Total lack of driver's training don't fail me now," Wendy mutters as she swerves away from the truck and speeds toward the cliff, both of us screaming as we make the jump. The car tumbles as we hit the ground, the car soon skidding to a stop and I stumble out before dragging myself toward the chained bubble. "So close, Mabel...I'm almost there..." I notice a pair of feet in front of me and look up to see a cloaked figure. "Heya Dipper, how's it hangin'?" Soos asks as he helps me up and takes off the hood. "Soos!" "Soos?" "Handyman of the apocalypse at your service." "Soos, how'd you- where'd you-" I couldn't figure out what question to ask him while he treated Wendy and he explains what he's been up to. "I've been wandering the planes like a desperato, helping strangers. I guess there's some folk songs about me now. The good news is your arm is ok." "So what's the bad news?"

 "Bad news is we're surrounded dudes," I look around and gasp to see Gideon and his goons had already caught up to us and had surrounded us. "Woo-hee I dare say you almost had the jump on me there for a second but this ain't your Gravity Falls anymore, out here I win," Gideon says before clapping and he's given a horn. He blows into it and we look at the Fearamid to see a swarm of eye bats coming this way.

"Bill's bench bats will be here any minute to retrieve ya'll, Mabel's mine now!" He laughs at us and I look at him, the bubble, and the key before asking with a shrug "Is she?" "Well yeah, I have hr trapped. Ergo Mabel is mine!" "Gideon listen to me if I've learned anything this Summer it's that you can't force someone to love you," I glance back at Wendy as I remember the early days of the Summer before my thoughts train to (y/n). "The best you can do is strive to be someone worthy of loving." "Oh I'm worthy of lovin', these prisoners love me!" He counters and they back him up. "But Mabel doesn't because you're selfish but you can change! Bill thinks there's no heroes in this world but if we work together and fight back, we can defeat him. You wanna be Mabel's hero? Stand up to Bill and let us save her!"

I argue with him and he gives me a panicked look. "That's crazy! Do you know what Bill would do to me if I let that happen?" "What are you scared of Bill?" "No! I just- it's a complicated situation." "Look inside Gideon if all this is for Mabel then ask yourself what Mabel would want you to do?" I ask him and he pulls out something from his hat and looks at it.

"Dipper...Will you tell her what I did?" "Of course." "I hope you're right about this. Guys, new plan! Bill's minions are gonna be on us in seconds but I'm not gonna let that dumb triangle be the warden of me. You all ready for a good old fashion prison brawl?" They all take off and Soos sighs in relief. "And I thought I was gonna have to throw down," We make it up to the bubble where the lock was and I take in a deep breath. "Ok remember guys, this is a prison bubble designed by Bill. We gotta prepare ourselves for what we're gonna find in there." "Whatever it is, we'll do it together. For Mabel!" "For Mabel!" "For Mabel!" We say putting our hands in the middle before unlocking the bubble and entering it together.
