(y/n)'s p.o.v.

It had been a day since the whole portal situation happened, the Mystery Shack would be closed for a couple of days for repairs so today was a day to do nothing. We were all hanging out in the gift shop, Mabel was snacking, Grunkle Stan was reading the paper, and Dipper and I were currently reading the other two journals.

"I can now say that I ate a bag of Cheese Poodles without my hands. Lazy Tuesday you are delivering in a big way!" Mabel exclaims, blowing the bag off of her face. "Heh, yeah, it's nice to finally have a day where nothing interesting happens whatsoever."

Grunkle Stan starts to say when we hear an explosion come from the basement and out comes Ford and Gram with electrocuting gloves on, a small green octopus with huge teeth attached to Ford's arm. We scream and Ford shouts "Everyone get down! Don't let it taste human flesh!" He slams his fist into the octopus causing it to fall onto the ground and crawl around, Dipper shouting "What is it?!" "Can we keep it?!" Mabel asks as it crawls onto the counter and Stan tries to hit with the newspaper.

"Kill it, kill it!" Ford chases on the counter and Gram rushes past us, blocking the octopus from going another way, trapping it in the corner. "Patience. Patience...And NOW!" Gram shouts as the octopus lets out a shriek and the two grab it, electrocuting it.

Ford lifts up the burnt creature with a smile while Gram dusts off her hands before kissing him on the cheek. "Great now get it out of here, it smells like if death could fart," Quickly Dipper and I run up, holding Journal number two. "Wait Great Uncle Ford, Grace need any help with that?" "Please? We've read all about these creatures in your journal and we think we've come up with a way to-"

I chime in when Ford raises his hand up sternly stating "No. I'm sorry kids, on the dark weird road we travel I'm afraid you cannot follow. Welp, call us up for dinner," Ford heads back down and Gram ruffles my hair. "Sorry sugar, it's too dangerous. See you at dinner," She heads back in too and the door shuts, both of us letting out a long sigh.

"Maybe next time then? Or never..." Dipper trails off and I lightly squeeze his hand, we both had been trying to spend some time with Ford and Gram for a few days now but we barely even saw them enough to ask a question.

"Aw guys don't take it so hard," Mabel tries to reassure us when we were both thwacked against the head with a newspaper. "No do take it hard, take it hard and serious. Those two are dangerous know-it-alls and the stuff they're messing with is even worse. Do yourselves a favor and stay away from them, you hear me?"

"But Grunkle Stan all Summer long we've wanted to know the authors of the journal was, now they both live in our basement and neither of us can even talk to them," Dipper argues and Stan shrugs it off. "Don't worry about what's in the basement. You both belong up here me and Mabel." "Yeah besides the season finale of Duck-Tective is this Friday, that's all the mystery you need this week. Come on quack with us," The two start quacking while Dipper and I stare at the flashing vending machine, both of us longing to be down there with our aunt and uncle.

Mabel's p.o.v.

"Dear Mom and Dad, we've been in Gravity Falls for a few months now and so much has happened like Dipper finally got a girlfriend! But just yesterday gravity reversed itself, almost destroying the universe and totally wrecking the whole town," I write down, I had decided to write a letter to mom and dad to catch them up on what's been going on while we've been away.

My attention turns to the tv as the news comes on, the news was talking to the townsfolk about what they thought happened before the mayor declared the revamping of the town which ended up taking out the tv station so I turned back to my letter.

"But the coolest part of the Summer is when Grunkle Stan's twin brother came out of some portal thingy now we have two Grunkles for the price of one and they are adorable together!" I draw Grunkle Stan and Great Uncle Ford holding hands. That's when Dipper runs into the room holding a box. "Mabel, you'll never guess what I found at the store today!" "Dogs! Dogs with hats!" "No, it's my favorite fantasy talking, level-talking, statistical graph paper involving game of all time: Dungeons, Dungeons, and More Dungeons! Do you wanna play it with me?" (D&D!!!! Good game)

I look over the colorful box, my eyes landing on a hot elf and I nod. "Well, I do like unicorns and that hot elf looks promising, how do you play?" He pulls out a huge rule book. "The rules are simple. First, you roll a 38 sided die to determine the level of each player's statistical power orb. These orbs will relate to the amount of quadrants your team has to..." I start blocking his voice out as I deadpan at him.

When he finally stops talking I ask "And then we ride unicorns?" "Yes! And no, " I frown as he continues going on about the rules. (Ugh, character customization, takes forever) "Then we make a graph," I let out a groan.

"Ugh, this is like homework the game!" "Come on Mabel I need at least two people to play," That's when Soos walks in. "Oh wow would you look at that? Two people," I then sneak away to the table to continue my letter.

Dipper's p.o.v.

"Hey Soos, up for a little game of D&D and more D?" "Sorry Dipper, I don't go in for that pen and paper kind of stuff. I'm more of a Fclorper." "A what?" "Fclorp. Foam and Cardboard Legitimate Outdoor Roleplay. It is where a passionate brothern and craftsman bring their dreams to magical reality," He explains and I sigh. "Well thanks anyway, Soos." That's when Grunkle Stan walks in. "Say is this that game that's mostly math and writing and isn't anything like the picture on the box?"
