(y/n)'s p.o.v.
It was now early morning the attic was almost completely bare just sprinkles of some of our stuff such as chewed pens in the trash and some of Mabel's confetti. We were standing at the bus stop waiting for the bus, Shelli had given her car to Gram because it was hers and offered to take the bus with us to make sure the twins would get back to California safely.
"Do you really have to go? There's still so much we haven't done together..." Candy trails off and Mabel gives her a smile. "Summer's over Candy, it's time for us to grow up." "But not too much," Dipper chimes and Grenda wipes away a few stray tears shouting "Ugh! I hate my dumb heart for making me feel things! Cut it out! Cut it out!" She starts punching herself, Soos soon asks "Hey can you punch my heart too?" "No mine! Punch my feelings away!" Candy shakes her friend and Mabel pulls the two in for a hug. "Candy, Grenda, thank you for being my people. You'll always be my best friends. Grunkle Stan, thanks for wearing my goodbye sweater," She then turns to Stan who was fanning himself.
"Uh it's cold out, I had to." "What? But it's like 80 something degrees out today-" Soos starts to point out before Stan and Ford shout in unison "Can it Soos!" This causes us all to laugh when Wendy approaches Dipper. "Hey, you mean a lot to me man." "You too," They fist bump before Wendy takes his hat and switches it with hers. "Somethin' to remember me by oh and this. Read it the next time you miss Gravity Falls," She also hands him a letter that was addressed to him when the bus, unfortunately, pulls up.
"Last bus leaving Gravity Falls, all aboard!" "Guess we've said goodbye to everyone except...Waddles..." Mabel trails off when she spots her pig. "I don't know how to explain this but Mom and Dad won't let me bring a pig home to California so you have to stay here," She tells him, tears streaming down her face and she moves to get on the bus, soon stopping when Waddles starts tugging on her skirt. "Come on, come on, I have to go. I'm sorry Waddles!" I turn to Grunkle Stan, Ford, and Gram giving them a pleading look when Grunkle Stan snaps. "You know what? Forget it! I lived with this pig all Summer now your parents are gonna have to! Hey bus guy! This pig is coming with the kids!" He says grabbing Waddles and setting him on the bus.
"Now hold on a second. Bringing animals on board a moving vehicle is strictly prohibited by-" The driver starts to protest before noticing all the threatening looks the adults were giving while brandishing their weapons. "W-welcome aboard, you can sit in the front row pig," With that, we turn to the adults, and Ford and Gram address me. "(y/n) I'm gonna miss you, I'm sorry we couldn't be there for you for the past few years. I love you," Gram says hugging me, Ford joining in and ruffling my hair.
"Thanks for being the best science buddy Sugar. We'll always be there for you." "Thank you guys for taking care of me for as long as you could, I love you guys too," The twins and I turn toward Grunkle Stan and he kneels down to our level. "Kids...You knuckleheads were nothin' but a nuisance and I'm glad to be rid of ya," He tells us his voice trembling as tears prick his eyes. Tears prick our eyes too as we pull him into a hug. "We'll miss you too Grunkle Stan," The twins let go but I hold onto Grunkle Stan a little tighter telling him "Thank you for putting up with me for six years on end. I couldn't ask for a better Dad, I love you." I hear Grunkle Stan sniffle before mumbling "I love you too sweetie," I let go and grab my bag, Dipper asking "Ready to head into the unknown?" "Nope! Let's do it," Mabel answers, and I chime in with "Together."
We get on along with Aunt Shelli who had been waiting for us and we wave goodbye as the bus starts to move. Grunkle Stan, Ford, Gram, Wendy, Candy, Grenda, and Soos raced after the bus to continue waving goodbye as they shouted more goodbyes. As we continued to drive out of Gravity Falls we looked out the window and waved to a few of the creatures who had come out of hiding to wave goodbye to us as well. It hadn't taken long for Mabel to fall asleep and Dipper to open the letter that had been given to him which read See you next Summer with signatures from all our friends.
If you've ever taken a road trip through the Pacific Northwest you've probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls. It's not on any maps and most people have never heard of it, some people think it's a myth. But if you're curious don't wait. Take a trip, find it. It's out there somewhere in the woods waiting.
