I woke up to Lucky licking my face, his wet tongue running over my cheek. I could hear Kate laugh. I let out a groan and tried to push him away but he was relentless for my attention.

"I think he likes you" Kate chuckled.

"Maybe a bit too much" I said pushing Lucky away.

I stood up looking down at Lucky who was staring up at me.

"Gosh so needy" I said patting his head.

I stretched my hands above my head and walked over to the kitchen table were Clint and Kate were seated.

"About time you woke up" my dad said.

"Shut up I only managed to get to sleep at 4" I said.

Kate handed me a cup of coffee which I graciously accepted. I gave her a nod of thanks as we both listened to my dad ramble on.

"So I need to go and retrieve the suit, and then as soon as that's done we can go home" Clint said.

"Oh ok" I replied.

I couldn't help but wish that this would go on for a little longer.

"I should probably head off to work" Kate said aprubtly standing up.

"Uh, uh, uh no you are staying here" Clint said telling her off like a small child.

"I have a job to go to, wouldn't it be suspicious if I all of a sudden didn't show up to work" Kate retorted.

Clint thought for a while before finally agreeing to let Kate go to work. She rushed into the room quickly getting ready for work.

"Ok, I'm going to grab the suit, you take Kate to work and meet me back at the hotel, your siblings will need a proper guardian" Clint chuckled to himself as he gathered up his things.

"And then what? We just go back home?" I asked.

He raised his brow at me suggestively.

"Yeah, that's exactly what we'll do" Clint answered.

He swung his bag over his shoulder, I wanted to say that I wanted to stay longer. Get to know Kate better, spend more time with her and Lucky. I wanted to be friends. Yeah friends that's what I want.

"Oh ok" I replied awkwardly.

"What's up?" Clint asked.

"It's nothing dad ok" I replied waving off his concerns.

He let out a sigh and nodded leaving the apartment and calling out a goodbye to Kate who was still changing.

Lucky stood by the closed door, already waiting for Clint to come back.

"This might be goodbye buddy" I sighed quietly scratching behind his ear.

Kate came out of the bedroom and I spun around to face her. She was wearing a black suit with an orange floral pattern. It was a bit off an odd suit but it was her Aunt's. Nevertheless she looked good. Really good.

She tucked a strand behind her ear as she looked at me.

"Ok, let's go" She said grabbing her bag.

I nodded and opened the door for her letting her out before me. I gave Lucky a final scratch behind the ear before closing the door behind me.

We walked down the sidewalk in a comfortable silence.

"So is this it?" Kate asked finally breaking the silence.

"I honestly don't know" I replied stuffing my hand in my pocket.

"I hope not" Kate replied.

I looked over to her giving her a small smile letting her know I feel the same way as her. She then leaned down rummaging through her bag and pulling out a phone.

"Um put your number in, so I can message you ya know in case of emergencies" Kate said scratching the back of her neck.

I chuckled and took her phone.

"For emergencies huh?" I asked.

"Exactly" She replied with a small smirk.

Was she flirting? Possibly.

I typed in my number along with Clint's incase she needed help with missions. Where as my number was hopefully going to be used for more personal reasons.

I handed her back her phone and she smiled and stuffed it into her coat pocket.

"I hope I get to see you again" Kate said.

"Yeah me too" I replied.

We both fell into a silence, once again not exactly awkward. We arrived outside of Kate's building and she paused outside the door.

"So this is me" She said holding her bag infront of her.

"It was nice meeting you" I replied scratching the back of my neck.

"I hope this isn't the last time I see you" Kate replied with an awkward laugh.

"Well you have my number, so don't hesitate to call" I replied.

"I won't" she chuckled patting her pocket.

For a few seconds we just stood there neither of us really moving. Kate finally made the move turning around to open the door of her work.

"I better get into work Y/n" Kate said gesturing towards the open door.

"I'll see you later" I replied.

"See you" Kate chuckled with a smile.

I turned around to see Kate looking back at me too. I chuckled to myself and kept on working. I felt my phone buzzing in my pocket, picking it up I smiled at the message.

Just checking you gave me the right number Barton (;- Kate.

I smiled to myself, I could even feel my cheeks heat up as I sent her a message back.

I gave you the right number Bishop

I added her to my contacts and stuffed my phone back into my pocket as I headed back towards the hotel building.
