A/n: sorry for the delay I've been really busy and I've had some personal issues and shit but whatever I'm back now but I hope you enjoy!

I parked the car outside the apartment building I was very thankful that Kate's apartment was able to be restored after the small fire which happened. I closed the car door behind me before stretching my hands above my head and letting out a groan.

Kate walked around opening the door for Lucky to jump out.

"Do we really have to bring all these boxes in now" Kate groaned clearly tired.

"I mean we probably should" I sighed.

Kate let out a groan and I chuckled reaching forward and grabbing my duffle bag. I hadn't brought too much to New York other than my clothes and a few other stuff. I mean Kate survived at our house for like two months with literally nothing so I think I'll be sorted.

"I'll come back for the rest later" I said shutting the door.

Kate gave me a small smile and we both headed inside. The apartment was exactly how I remembered and surprisingly you couldn't even tell that their was a mini fire here.

Kate took off Lucky's lead and hung it up on a hook allowing him to run around the apartment.

She placed the keys on the table and they rattled against the counter top. Kate walked over to my side wrapping her arm around my waist.

"We're home now" Kate said.

"We are" I replied.

Kate smiled up and me and I bent down placing a kiss on her forehead. She smiled warmly and rested her head on my shoulder looking at Lucky who was happily running around the apartment sniffing his new surroundings.

"I'm hungry" Kate said.

"Me too whatcha thinking?" I asked.

"Hmm pizza from downstairs?" Kate asked.

Lucky's ears perked up at the word pizza and I could tell he was practically drooling we called him Lucky the Pizza Dog for a reason.

"Sounds good and I'm pretty sure Lucky agrees" I laughed.

Kate nodded and quickly headed downstairs to grab some food. I sat down at the dining room table and pulled out my phone. The last time I sat here was when Yelena was here, well when Yelena broke in and kinda threatened us but whatever.

I pulled out my phone and opened up my messages quickly messaging Clint that I hadn't been murdered. As I exited out I could see Natasha's number. I let out a sigh as I clicked on it, hundreds of unopened messages from me to her, well her phone.

Sometimes I would just text the number and in some way I felt like I was talking to her, it sounds ridiculous I know but it helped. Losing Natasha was rough for everybody and everyone seemed to move on quickly, except for me and Clint.

Neither of us could ever move on from Natasha.

I hesitated for a second my thumbs hovering over the keyboard before I began typing.

Hey Nat long time no see, we'll you are dead so...

I face palmed myself letting out a quick sigh before hastily deleting what I had written.

Hey Nat, I miss you. We all do I wish you come back there's someone I wish you could've met. Her name's Kate, she's kind funny smart also ridiculously hot but that's besides the point. I really wish you could meet the person I love, I know she would love you and I hope you'd like her too. She is truly amazing Nat and I like to think that you'd be proud of me for not pushing her away. I wish you were still here. I miss you.

I cleared my throat feeling on the verge of tears before sending the message, Kate walked back through the door carrying a pizza box. She furrowed her brows at me as I wiped underneath my eyes wiping away the tears which had escaped.

"What's wrong?" Kate asked.

"Oh it's nothing I just" I let out a sigh.

Kate placed the box on the bench and walked over towards me.

"I just miss Nat" I admitted.

Kate gave me a weak smile and sat down besides me taking my hand in hers. I sighed and leaned over placing my head on her shoulder.

"You can talk to me about it you know that right you don't have to bottle it up" Kate said stroking my head.

"I know it's just hard" I sighed.

"I know live but if you ever need to talk I'm here" Kate assured me placing a kiss on my head.

I smiled up at her feeling incredibly grateful for the woman holding me.
