Clint emptied out the contents of the duffle bag onto the table. We were in a workshop one which I'm guessing Clint managed to get because of the guild.
Kate went out to grab food knowing we would be here for a while. So me and Clint started on making the arrows.
"But seriously Y/n, is there something between you and Kate?" Clint asked.
I let out a sigh and nodding my head knowing there was no point in lying. I put the head of the arrow down.
"Yeah" I replied.
"See I knew it" Clint laughed.
"It's nothing official yet" I told him.
"I know I know, it's just very clear that you two have some kind of connection. You should see the way she looks at you ya know I thought she looked at me with awe but with you wow" Clint chuckled.
"I really like her dad" I admitted.
"I know, just be careful it gets complicated when both of you are heroes. It gets tough always worrying about the other" Clint said.
"You and mom seemed to make it work" I said.
Clint nodded and continued to focus on his arrow as he talked to me.
"It was hard though especially with how reckless she was" Clint joked.
I laughed.
"I can imagine, but yeah I am scared she'll get hurt. She's never done anything like this before but we have. I really just don't want her to get hurt because of us" I sighed.
"It just shows you care it's ok to worry but Y/n Kate can handle it. She'll be alright" Clint assured me.
"Yeah I know" I shrugged.
I picked the arrow head up continuing to work on it.
"When did this all start huh, you and Kate" Clint asked.
"The night we had that little Christmas night" I said.
"I had my assumptions" Clint chuckled.
I shook my head and handed him the completed arrow head to connect to the shaft.
"Ah young love" Clint sighed.
"We no don't get all nostalgic and over share about you and mom's relationship" I said.
"You sure you don't want to know about the time where we went camping, this is actually how you were conceived Y/n" Clint started.
"No stop!" I shouted.
I flew my hands to my ears to cover them and in this moment I wished I could have my dad's hearing aids so I could shut him up. Clint simply laughed grabbing his stouts he finding himself absolutely hilarious.
Thankfully Kate had walked through the door carrying pizza meaning that Clint would shut up.
"I have returned baring pizza" Kate said gesturing to the boxes.
"Oh thank god" I said walking towards her.
I took one of the boxes placing it on the table in front of me.
"I'm starving" Clint said reaching over to grab a slice.
Kate walked over taking the seat next to me, she watched my hands as I worked on the arrow head for Clint.
"Y/n do you want a bow for tonight? I do have yours but I know you prefer your knives" Clint asked.
"I'll stick to my knives I'll let you two be the archers" I said.
"Then sharpen your knives ok" Clint said.
"I know" I huffed.
I stood up going to grab my knives from the duffle bag in the corner along with the metal rod I used to sharpen it. I walked back over sitting back down next to Kate who was working on an arrow.
"See you've got the hang of it now" I said.
"Yeah it isn't as hard as I thought" Kate chuckled.
Kate turned her attention back to the arrow she was working on. I placed my bow sharpened knives down and began working on one of the Pym arrows.
"The guild will be there keeping an eye out for Maya, also just in case we need backup they'll be there" Clint said.
"Got it, what about this arrow head?" Kate asked.
She lifted it up in her her finger tips, she twirled it in her fingers observing it carefully.
"Nope too dangerous" Clint said reaching over and snatching it out of Kate's hands.
"We might be up against Kingpin dad I think what is supposedly too dangerous might be perfect" I said.
"Fine. But it is only to be used in absolute emergencies got it" Clint chastised pointing his finger at us.
"Yup got it" I said.
Clint sighed and reluctantly handed me the arrow head to place into a shaft. Securing it on Kate handed me a label which red 'emergency only" along with a red label to stand out for the rest.
"I think we're al ready to go" Clint said placing the last of the arrows in a duffel bag.
"We need to get dressed up first" Kate said dropping the bag down by the door.
"We gotta look all rich and posh" I chuckled:
"Luckily for you two I got something for both of you" Kate smirked.
She handed Clint and I two dry cleaner bags which she had placed in a duffel. I took it off her unzipping it to reveal a suit. Clint having a similar one to mine.
"Now go and get dressed" Kate said excitedly.
I quickly got changed in one of the side rooms, I'm not going to lie I didn't look too bad. I adjusted the suit jacket. I walked out and Kate spun around to look at me.
She was wearing a black dress. She looked absolutely gorgeous. She gave me a warm smile and walked towards me.
"You need to do your tie" Kate laughed.
She walked towards me a smile spread across her face as her eyes grazed up and down my body, definitely not hiding the fact that she was checking me out.
She stood in-front of me our faces mere inches apart, her hands making her way to my tie. Her eyes flicked up and down moving from my toe back up to meet my own. I could feel my breath hitch in my throat as her fingers brushed across my chest.
She placed the now knotted tie back down, her hands running down my chest to smooth my shirt out.
"Thanks" I breathed out.
She looked up at me a smirk on her face.
"Don't mention it" She whispered.
"Can you two please stop eye fucking each other, we gotta go!" Clint shouted startling us both causing us to pull away.
"Yeah, right let's go" I said clearing my throat awkwardly before we followed Clint out of the building.
