Kate had to go back to New York to finish of her degree leaving me back home. I really did miss her but it would only be for a few weeks to complete exams and then it would be all done. I hated it, I hated being away from her but I know I would just make her feel worse than she already was.

But I at least knew that once she was back we could move in together, my dad had helped me find a place for Kate and I to move into and both of us couldn't wait. Kate had found a job nearby and it was good.

Apart of me doubted all of this just because it was "too good to be true". Whenever there was something great happening it would be ruined. When my dad retired it was going great until the snap. When Kate and I were perfect it was ruined by me getting kidnapped. Nat and then Vormir. Nothing good ever seemed to stick.

I walked into Kate and mines new place walking around the empty house. A few boxes were scattered around the place. I let Lucky walk around to get used to his surroundings. This place was expensive but thankfully Kate and I managed to scrape money together to afford it, with the help of my dad of course who let's be honest wanted us out of the house.

"You excited?" Clint asked walking in.

"Oh yeah all though I do wish we moved further away from you guys" I joked.

Clint let out a sarcastic laugh and placed the keys on the table. He took in a deep breath and folded his arms over his chest letting his eyes wander around the room.

"I'm starting the job next week" I said.

"I know you'll do great" Clint said with a smile.

I'd taken up a job teaching kids self defence, eventually I wanted to run my own gym but for now I needed the money. I wanted to teach those kids just like Clint and Nat taught me.

"Yeah well I learnt from the best" I said.

"Aww" Clint cooed.

"I meant Nat not you" I teased my father.

He let out a small chuckle and rolled his eyes knowing I was kidding. Well half kidding anyways.

"I can't believe it look at you all grown up" Clint said.

"Ugh please don't get all emotional and sappy I get that from mom enough" I chuckled.

"Just yesterday you were this little girl" Clint continued a teasing smirk on his face as he could he was annoying me.

"Stop getting all nostalgic old man" I joked.

Clint laughed and walked over to me wrapping his arms around me in a hug.

"In all seriousness I will miss you" Clint said.

"I'll miss you too dad" I replied hugging him back.

He placed a small kiss on my cheek before pulling away offering me a smile and walking towards the backyard where Lucky was frolicking around.

I walked up the stairs the wooden stairs creaking slightly as I stepped on them. Stuffing my hands in my pockets I let my eyes wander around as I headed towards the bedroom.

I stopped at the doorway to the bedroom Kate and I would be sharing soon and I couldn't help but smile as I looked at the empty room. This was our space. All ours.

I walked into the room heading towards the window looking out as the sun slowly began to set across the horizon, a orange and pink colour streaming through the window and lighting up the room. Perfect. I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and I brought it out to see a message from Kate across the Lock Screen.

Just boarded my flight, I'll see you soon. I miss you <33

I smiled to myself and sent my reply before placing my phone back into my pocket and heading downstairs. Rounding the corner I headed outside to see Clint sitting on the deck watching Lucky run around.

"You ever thought about kids?" He asked.

I groaned lightly and sat down next to him.

"Not really my minds usually been occupied with other things. I haven't thought about it" I shrugged.

"We'll all I'm saying is that you and Kate would make great parents" Clint said.

"We've only been together 6 months dad you need to chill out" I scoffed.

Clint laughed slightly and shook his head.

"But you know she's the one right" Clint said.

This wasn't a question for me. No. He was stating a fact.

"Yeah" I replied.

He smiled slinging his arm over my shoulders and nudged me lightly.

"Well I mean I think I do, how'd you know with mom?" I asked.

"I don't really know to be honest, I just knew that I am happier with her than I ever was with anybody else and i just knew that without her I wouldn't be able to function" Clint explained.

"Well shit" I chuckled.

"See" Clint laughed.

Kate is the one.

A/n: I once again apologise for the wait.
