Kate and I sat on the couch in the living room as she read over one of her assignments. Her finger brushed along the page reading along with what she had written. I couldn't help but stare as her fingers moved along the paper, Kate noticed of course a smirk spreading across her face.

"Getting flashbacks from last night?" Kate asked with a smirk.

I scoffed looking away causing Kate to laugh.

"No I wasn't" I lied.

"Yeah of course not" Kate agreed closing her book.

I smiled at her which she replied, Kate stretched her hands above her head letting out a groan before wrapping her arms around my waist.

"When do you want to move back to New York?" I asked her.

"That decision is up to you to make, whenever you're ready" Kate replied.

"I just don't want you to feel like you're suck in this house with my weird ass family" I said.

"I heard that!" Clint shouted out from the kitchen interrupting our conversation.

I tilted my head so he could see my face as I rolled my eyes at him, I turned my attention back around to let Kate talk.

"I don't feel stuck here, I will stay with you anywhere and besides I like your family" Kate said.

"I just don't know if I ever want to go back to New York and I don't want you to give anything up for me" I rambled.

Kate sighed cupping my cheeks with both of her hands.

"I've nearly graduated Y/n, I don't want to be in New York if you don't want to be there" Kate said.

"I just don't want you to look back at this and realise you've made the wrong decision" I sighed.

Kate smiled sadly and she grazed her thumb across my cheek.

"You're not something I'm ever going to regret" Kate said.

I nodded and Kate sighed pulling her hands away from my face. I placed a kiss on her cheek standing up and heading into the kitchen to allow her to focus on her school work.

I gave my dad a tight smile as I walked past him. Clint nodded his head slightly to greet me as he took a sip from his coffee.

"I'm going to do some training outside" I mumbled.

"You need any help?" My dad asked.

"Uh no I'll be alright" I replied jogging upstairs to get changed.

I entered my room shutting the door behind me and letting out a breath before heading over to my drawers and pulling out some clothes to change into.

After I was changed I headed straight outside, the air was crisp and flowers had bloomed on the grass letting us know that spring was here. I quickly wrapped my hands and began to wrap my hands. My siblings were at school so thankfully I could train without one of them coming to distract me, it was usually Nate because he always wants me to play "dragons" with him.

I walked towards the punching bag standing slightly in front of it before shifting on my feet getting my stance right. I stretched my arms slightly before I began to hit the bag. I began light but soon enough I was pounding at the sand which hung from the roof of the garage.

My hands began to ache and my shins stung but I kept on going my eyes fixed on the bag as it swayed back and forth with each hit.

My mind flashed through images of when I was captured which made me hit harder and harder. I let out grunts with each punch as my knuckles stung, despite the wrapping my hands would be bruised.

I was about to hit the bag when I felt a fist grab my hand to stop me.

I quickly spun around to see Kate staring at me in shock, I didn't know why until I looked down to see my shins bruised, the skin broken and bleeding out as well as the blood from my knuckles seeping through the wrapping. I had no idea how long I'd been at it but the sun had begun to set now unlike how high it was when I came out.

"Are you ok?" Kate asked me.

"Yeah I'm fine" I managed to pant out as I was slightly breathless.

"You've been out here for ages" Kate said leading me over to a chair.

"I have?" I asked.

I followed her hobbling slightly on my legs. Kate looked like she was about to cry.

"Yes" she replied bluntly.

I sat down on the chair and Kate grabbed a first aid kit which was on the shelf before coming back over and kneeling in-front of me.

"You have to be more careful" Kate said as she wiped away some of the blood.

The antiseptic causing me to hiss as it stung my wound.

"I know I just didn't realise how long I'd been out here" I replied.

"Well you have to be careful you really hurt yourself" Kate sighed wrapping my leg.

"I'm fine trust me" I assured her.

Kate shook her head in disagreement as she took my hand in hers and begun lightly unwrapping them.

"No you're not fine you just beat up that punching bag so much that you're bleeding" Kate said.

I let out a sigh staying quiet as Kate took care of my wounds, she looked up at me with worry as she took care of it.

"You bottle up your anger and then let it out in bad ways" Kate said.

"Ugh don't profile me you're not my therapist" I scoffed.

"I know I'm not but you know I'm right" Kate replied.

I let out a huff in response and Kate rolled her eyes at me continuing to wipe away the blood.

"You can't do this to yourself Y/n" Kate said.

"It's not like it was on purpose" I said angrily.

"I just don't want you getting hurt" Kate said in a hushed tone.

I let out a sigh feeling slightly bad, I reached my bandaged hand underneath her chin lifting it up slightly to meet my gaze.

"I'm sorry" I said.

"It's fine just next time be careful" Kate replied placing a kiss on my knuckles.

"I think you missed" I teased.

Kate rolled her eyes but a small smile snuck past as she leaned in placing a quick kiss on my lips.
