Kate opened the door to her apartment we were greeted by the sight of singed furniture. I closed the door with my foot and followed Kate in.
"I'll just grab my stuff" Kate said.
"What about your mom, I don't think she likes me very much I can't imagine her enjoying me staying the night with you" I laughed.
"She doesn't have to know" Kate whispered in my ear sending shivers through my spine.
I went to reply but a noise behind us interrupted our conversation.
"Kate Bishop, Y/n Barton" A female voice called out.
I grabbed the bottle of hot sauce infront of me spinning around I launched it at the figure. The blonde caught it with ease.
"Hi" She said carefully.
"What are you doing here?" Kate asked.
I stepped infront of her holding out my arm to keep her back.
"I'm not here to kill you Kate Bishop, I'm not here to kill either of you" She said with a shrug.
"How do we know you're not lying?" I asked.
"Well I could've easily killed you the second both of you stepped in the door but I didn't did I" She said.
"Good point" Kate chimed in.
The Russian nodded placing the hot sauce bottle on the table.
"Mac & cheese?" She asked.
I glanced back at Kate both of us sporting a look of confusion.
"What? You were taking too long, unfortunately I didn't expect you to bring Y/n back but there should still be enough" She said.
The widow smiled and walked over to the kitchen digging through the drawers.
"Seriously you only have one fork" she scoffed holding a fork.
"Well I'm one person" Kate shrugged.
"Seriously Kate" I chuckled.
The widow laughed in amusement and held up two plastic forks.
"Kate Bishop this is not cutlery" the widow said.
She laughed and sat down at the table both Kate and I hesitant to follow.
"C'mon I'm not going to kill you now sit down" the widow said.
She kicked out the chair across from here and nodded her head gesturing us to sit.
"I don't have any weapons on me... wait no I don't have any weapons in my hand" she said.
I looked at Yelena as she thought for a second.
"Wait no I do, but I promise not to kill you" She said holding her hands up in mock surrender.
I sighed and sat down across from her, Kate hesitated but sat down next to me.
"You know I've always wanted to come to New York" the widow said.
She smiled stuffing a forkful of mac & cheese in her mouth, Kate and I looked at eachother incredibly confused.
"What are some good things in New York to do?" She asked.
"Rockefeller square" Kate suggested.
"Ah that's a good idea Kate Bishop" She said nodding her head.
"Are you just saying my full name to prove that you know everything about me?" Kate asked.
"Yup, I know all about you. I know all about you too Y/n Barton" She said.
I gulped slightly suddenly feeling nervous. I could see Kate out the corner of my eye shift in her seat uncomfortably.
"What do you even want with us?" I asked, my fists clenched underneath the table.
"I want to kill Clint Barton" She shrugged.
My eyes widened in shock, I felt Kate grab my hand under the table. My whole body tense.
"You- what?" I asked my voice shaking slightly.
"I want to kill Clint Barton, your father" She said.
I didn't know what to say, my jaw froze. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest.
"Why?" Kate asked she sounded scared.
"He has spilled blood recklessly over the past five years with no consequences" She said through gritted teeth.
"He's a hero he saved the world" Kate defended.
"And just because he's an Avenger he gets an excuse for murder" She shouted.
The widow leant forward in her air, her fists clenched on the table. Her jaw was clenched and she shot daggers at her with her eyes.
"You have no idea what he's been through" I said.
"He murdered my sister Natasha, killed the one person who had my back" She shouted.
I froze, Natasha. She's Natasha's sister, Yelena. My dad didn't kill Nat she sacrificed herself on Vormir, why does Yelena think Clint killed Nat.
"Wait, you're Yelena?" I said in shock.
She looked suprised yet amused that I knew her name.
"Ah so you do know who I am Y/n Barton" She said.
"Natasha talked about you" I said.
"She looked after you for five years while your father was off spilling blood of innocent people" She said.
"They weren't innocent" I said.
Yelena let out a dark laugh and shook her head.
"You don't really know anything about what your father did do you" She said.
"I- I know he wouldn't have killed Natasha" I shouted.
Yelena scoffed shaking her head, she leaned back in my her chair her head cocked to the side.
"Natasha sacrificed herself to save the world, Clint didn't kill her" I told her taking in a deep breath.
"No, I was not lied to. You weren't there when she died Y/n Barton" She said.
"No but I know Clint wouldn't kill Nat, they were bestfriends" I shouted.
"Ah yes and you called her aunt Nat how adorable, but I believe you've been lied to Y/n Barton. How can you even trust someone who left for five years" Yelena said standing up out of her chair.
I didn't know what else to say, I know he didn't do it but she wouldn't believe me. Yelena tossed the pan in the sink and walked over to the open window.
"Don't get in my way" She said sternly before grappling out of the window.
Oh this is bad.
