I shifted in my seat my legs feeling numb from sitting down for so long.

"How long?" I asked.

"Not too long, should be there soon" Clint replied from the front seat.

I glanced over to Kate who had fallen into a deep sleep. Her legs spread across my lap, her head resting against my jumper which she'd bunched up into a makeshift pillow to prop up against the window.

A smile grew on my face as I looked at her.

"So is she your girlfriend or what?" Clint asked.

I awkwardly scratched my neck and nodded.

"Yeah" I said.

My dad smiled looking back at me in the mirror.

"She's a good one, she really cares about you
Y/n" Clint said.

"Yeah I just don't want to screw anything up" I sighed.

"Don't stress about it ok, just don't do what I did and push everyone away" Clint sighed.

I knew what he was talking about.

"I won't" I replied.

"Good because you are way out of your league so you should make the most of this rare opportunity" Clint joked.

Well I at least hope he was joking.

"Ever considered a career in comedy ya know now that your retired" I said sarcastically as I rolled my eyes at him.

He scoffed shaking his head. Kate let out a small yawn as she woke up.

"Hey you're finally up" I said.

"How long was I out?" She asked stretching her hands above her head.

"About an hour but don't worry we'll be there soon" Clint said.

Kate nodded and took her head off the window grabbing my jumper and placing it on her lap.

"I'm not getting that back am I?" I said.

"Nope" Kate chuckled popping the p.

I smiled shaking my head at her. Kate glanced back looking at Lucky who had fallen asleep in the boot of the car.

"Lucky's drooling everywhere" Kate groaned.

"You were drooling before too" I teased.

"You're lying" She rolled her eyes.

"Oh really because you've got a little bit of drool right there" I smirked leaning over and pointing at her mouth.

She quickly wiped her mouth and groaned when there was nothing there.

"You're such an ass" Kate laughed swatting my chest.

"Yeah you get used to it though" Clint butted it.

Clint pulled into our driveway, I looked out the window smiling at the familiarity surroundings.

"See told you we'd make it" I chuckled glancing down at my watch to see it was still morning.

"You were right now c'mon" Clint said.

He parked the car stepping out and grabbing the presents from the passenger seat.

"You sure this is ok?" Kate asked.

"Yes trust me they've been dying to meet you" I said.

Kate nodded and got out the car walking around to let Lucky out of he boot. He looked around excitedly at his new surroundings.

I extended my hand and Kate took it intertwining my fingers.

My siblings burst through the door charging towards Clint and I excitedly.

"You made it!" Nathaniel shouted.

I gave Kate's hand a small squeeze before letting go so I could pick up my younger brought.

"I told you we would buddy" I said.

"Is this your girlfriend" Nate whispered but doing an incredibly poorly job of it.

Kate let out a small laugh and nodded at the small boy.

"Yes I am" Kate said.

She looked over at me with loving eyes giving me a crooked smile. I sighed in content everything feeling just how it should be.

I carried Nathan inside setting him down on the floor and he took off sprinting towards the Christmas tree.

Laura hugged Clint before walking over to me giving me a tight hug.

"Mom I'm fine" I laughed.

"I know I know" She chuckled pulling away and glancing over at Kate.

"And is this the famous Kate Bishop" she said excitedly.

"That's me" Kate laughed.

My mum gave Kate a quick hug before following Clint into the lounge to watch my siblings open their presents.

Kate stood besides me, I smiled placing a kiss on her forehead before draping my arm over her shoulders.

"Merry Christmas" I whispered.

"Merry Christmas Y/n" Kate smiled kissing my cheek.

Nate let out a loud laugh holding up his nerf gun excitedly. We all laughed as he pretended to shoot Cooper.

I looked over my shoulder to see Clint give mum back her watch. She smiled and rested her head on my dad's shoulder causing me to smile.

They made it work, we can too.

After a few minutes Clint stood up leading Kate and I outside.

"Now there is something I need to do now" Clint said.

He pulled the ronin outfit out of his bag before opening up the barbecue.

"All of this mess started with this suit" Clint said.

He poured gasoline all over it before handing Kate the matches. The outfit burned and I could see Clint become more relaxed. Burning this outfit would be like him officially leaving his old life behind. The ronin outfit in the ashes meaning Ronin was too and now there was Clint, only Clint.

"I'll leave you too out here for about give you some space from the screaming children" Clint chuckled.

"Thanks dad" I said with a smile.

He gave Kate and I a small nod before heading inside. Kate and I sat on the porch watching the uniform burn and wither away.

"I'm trying to come up with some superhero names" Kate said.

"Oh yeah what have you got so far?" I asked.

"Lady hawk" Kate suggested.

"I think maybe keep on brainstorming for now" I chuckled.

"Aw don't like lady hawk" Kate said feigning hurt.

"Eh it's ok" I shrugged.

Kate laughed nudging my side.

"This isn't how I imagined my Christmas to be" I chuckled.

"Me neither" Kate said.

"I wouldn't have it any other way though" I said.

Kate smiled a blush creeping across her cheeks.

"Me neither" She said.

I smiled pulling her in for a kiss, I could feel her smile into it. My hands moving to the back of my neck.

I couldn't think of a better way to spend Christmas.
