I flopped onto the couch next to Kate, she smiled and moved closer to me. Our thighs were touching.

Kate turned on the movie before leaning against the back of the couch stretching her hands above her hand. I grabbed a slice of pizza quickly pulling my hand away before the dog could snatch it.

The movie carried on and I felt Kate's hand inch closer to mine. My hand rested on my thigh and hers rested on her own. Her fingers brushed against mine. Both of us too scared to grab eachothers hands.

We both wanted to though I could tell, it was like a magnetic force.

"What was the best shot you've ever taken?" Kate asked.

"Probably the one I didn't take" Clint sighed.

Kate looked at me in confusion. I knew what he meant though.

"What does that mean?" Kate asked.

"I- it's nothing" Clint waved his hand in dismissal.

"Oh come on Clint" She said.

Clint let out a sigh, he turned his head so he was facing us.

"Years ago I was sent on a mission to take someone out. I was sent to kill her but instead I didn't, I could tell she wanted out so I helped her" Clint said.

"Natasha?" She asked.

Clint nodded.

"This whole line of work you want to get into, it's tough you lose people. Alot of people. You make mistakes alot of them" Clint sighed.

Kate paused a wash of realization washing over her face.

"You're Ronin aren't you" Kate said.

Clint's jaw clenched and he looked down at the floor in shame.

"Yeah" He sighed.

Clint didn't speak any longer, instead he excused himself heading off to bed to sleep in tbe guest room.

Kate groaned slapping herself on the forehead.

"I shouldn't have said that" Kate groaned.

"You did nothing wrong" I said.

I rested my hand ontop of hers giving it a squeeze. Kate sighed and rested her head on my shoulder.

I tilted my head to look at down at her. I tucked a strand of black hair behind her ear. She looked up at me a small smile spreading across her face.

"Do you miss her?" Kate asked.

"Who Natasha?" I asked.

Kate nodded.

"All the time, she was my aunt. She practically took care of me by herself for five years" I said.

Kate pulled her head away to look at me.

"Five years?" She said suprised.

"Clint left. He couldn't cope and that meant leaving me with Natasha" I sighed.

"I'm so sorry" Kate whispered.

"No, no it's ok I was alright, we kept in touch" I said waving her off.

"Y/n you were only 16 when he left" She said cupping my face.

"I had Natasha. I dealt fine and he's back now making up for lost time that's all that matters" I said.

She ran her thumb across my cheek wiping the tears which I didn't even know had fallen.

"I'm sorry" Kate sighed.

I gave her a tight smile and she leaned forward wrapping her arms around me holding me in a tight hug.

"I guess we both have a little bit of daddy issues" she chuckled.

I laughed running my hands up and down her back.

"I think we both turned out pretty great" I laughed.

"Yeah we are pretty amazing" Kate replied.

She released me from her grip and I immediately felt cold without her. I had only known her for a few days but it felt like more. She looked at me her eyes flicking between my eyes and my lips. I licked my lips and I could notice her pupils dilate slightly. Fuck I wanted to kiss her.

Kate swallowed and leaned forward resting her forehead on mine.

"I really wanna kiss you" she spoke as if it was our secret.

"What's stopping you?" I asked.

She placed her hands behind my head pulling me in to a searing kiss. My lips hers and they moulded together perfectly like two pieces of the same puzzle. I wrapped my arms around her waist pulling me flush against my body as our mouths moved in sync. I heard her let out a muffled moan as my fingers dug into her side. I could keep kissing her forever if I could, she was fulfilling my deepest desires ones I didn't want to admit. She lit a fire inside of me one I never wanted to extinguish.

We both pulled away gasping for breath. A smile slowly spreading across my face as our foreheads touched. She moved her hand from behind my head to my chest her fingers teasing the collar of my shirt. She could feel my chest rising up and down heavily, aswell as the fast beating of my heart.

"We shouldn't have done that" Kate whispered.

The look on her face contradicted her words. She sported a wide smile which she tried to hold back.

"If we lived life by not doing things we shouldn't do then we wouldn't live a life at all" I replied.

"It's dangerous to get attached while on a mission" Kate said.

"Screw it if it's dangerous Kate, that was the best kiss of my entire life" I said holding her close.

"I never said I didn't like danger Barton" Kate said with a smirk.

With that she got up walking to the bedroom, taking one last look at me before slamming the door behind her, a smirk plastered on her face.

I adjusted in my seat and a smile appeared on my face, my fingers traced my along my lips where hers were once placed on.
