*3 years later*

I opened the car boot allowing Lucky to jump out. He quickly jumped out making a beeline towards the front door. I chuckled to myself and grabbed his leash from the floor before slamming the boot shut and locking the car.

My keys jingled in my pocket as I jogged up the front porch stairs, the door was left open. I'd told Kate to close the door when I was out but of course she forgot.

"I'm home" I called out my voice echoing throughout the house.

I heard Kate's approaching footsteps grow louder and louder as she rounded the corner and ran into my arms. I let out a laugh and wrapped my arms around her waist.

"Did you miss me?" I asked.

"Of course I did" Kate said.

I had traveled down to Ohio to visit Natasha's grave and also hang out with Yelena a bit. Over the years Yelena had come up to visit us and occasionally we'd travel down to Ohio. This time I went alone wanting to visit Nat alone. It was the 4th anniversary of her death which was a bit hard to fathom.

"How was it?" Kate asked.

"It was ok, good to see Lena though" I replied.

"That's good" Kate replied.

I pulled away to look at her face a smile spreading across her face as I gazed into her eyes. A place which had become home for me.

"I missed you" I said.

Kate nodded letting me know that she felt the same way before closing the go between us pressing my lips against hers. I let out a sigh of content as I felt the all too familiar feeling take over my stomach as our lips moved in sync.

After the first time I felt Kate's lips against mine I knew no other pair would compare to hers.

We both pulled away and I kicked the door shut. She smiled and rested her head on my shoulder placing kisses on my neck.

Our reunion of course was of course ruined by the dog. Lucky letting out a loud bark begging to be let out. I let out a groan causing Kate to chuckle lightly before we headed towards the back door to let Lucky out.

"He's so needy" I scoffed.

"Sounds like someone I know" Kate smirked looking up at me.

"Ha ha very funny" I said sarcastically.

"Maybe Lucky inherited it from you" Kate teased.

"If anything his neediness would come from you Kate Bishop" I said.

"I think we need to change something about that sentence" Kate said.

I raised a brow curiously before answering.

"And what's that love?" I asked.

"I personally think Kate Barton sounds much better" She chuckled.

"Hmm you know what I think you may be right about that babe" I said a smile spreading across my face.

Kate leaned in pressing another kiss on my lips making my cheeks burn up.

"I'll always love you" I said.

"I'll always love you too" Kate replied.

The end.
