The Archer-Kate Bishop

Part 10

We all stumbled off the subway, my body ached with every step. We made our way back to the safehouse. Well Kate's aunt's. I collapsed onto the couch Pizza dog rushing to my side for attention.

I let out a small chuckle and patted his head, his eye fluttering close. Kate came and sat down next to me, the couch shifting slightly under her weight.

"I'm starving" Kate groaned.

"Same" I chuckled looking over at her.

Kate looked down at her watch a small smile appearing on her face.

"It's only 11, we could still do lunch" Kate said.

I smiled.

"Sounds good" I replied with a chuckle.

Clint's phone began to ring on the table, he could feel the vibrations and he picked it up looking at the screen. I stood up rushing over, it was just mom.

I answered.

"Hey" I spoke.

"Hey is dad there" it was Nate.

"Umm he's busy, what's up?" I asked.

"I'm bored" I could hear him sigh.

"Why's that buddy" I asked.

Clint sighed and ran his hands over his face.

"No one else is awake" He groaned.

I chuckled lightly.

"You should read a book Nate, or watch some TV" I told him.

"Fine" He replied.

"I have to go buddy, dad needs some help" I told my brother.

"You'll be home for Christmas right?" He asked.

I bit my lip not knowing what to say, I didn't want to get his hopes up and then have something go wrong.

"We'll be there I promise" I replied.

"It's ok if you can't" He said sounding slightly dissapointed.

"I love you Nate, dad says he loves you too ok" I replied.

I leant over scribbling down on the paper. Its just Nate complaining about being bored dad. Clint sighed in relief and gave me a nod.

"Love you sis" He replied before hanging up.

I handed the phone back to my dad, he signed a thank you which I replied with a small smile.

I walked back to the couch, I got back to see the pizza dog taking up my spot.

"Seriously" I scoffed.

Kate laughed.

"You can't move him Y/n" Kate teased patting the dog a teasing smirk on her face.

"How dare you" I said pointing my finger at him.

Kate laughed and I gave up taking a seat on the chair across from Kate.

"Who was that?" She asked.

"My younger brother Nate" I said adjusting myself to get comfortable.

"You have siblings?" She asked.

"Three actually. Cooper, Lila and Nate" I said.

"Lucky I was an only child" She said.

"Those guys are a pain in the ass trust me" I laughed.

"Nate seems sweet" Kate said.

Before I could reply Clint walked in standing directly in the middle of the living room.
