Part 41

I spotted Kate walking back towards the car a small smile on her face. I knew what that meant I hopped out of the car and leaned up against the side door.

"So Bishop what was the outcome?" I said.

"I get to stay" Kate said excitedly.

"See I told you" I replied.

Kate laughed and swung her arms around me swaying me side to side.

"My mother well before she went to prison payed all the repair costs off is as long as I didn't do anything terribly bad again I can stay" she said.

"Yeah so no more clock towers Kate you're getting put on a ban" I laughed.

Kate rolled her eyes pulling away, her arms staying draped over my shoulders. Her hands fiddling with the hair on the nape of me neck.

"Ya know Yelena texted me" I said opening the car door for her.

"Going to kill us this time" Kate said joking well half joking.

"No thankfully I double checked" I chuckled.

I got into the driver's seat starting the engine.

"She wants to meet for drinks tonight is that ok love?" I asked.

Kate reached over picking up my wrist to look at the watch placed on my wrist and nodded. I smiled at the gesture before turning to the road driving home.

"What about Lucky I feel bad leaving him home, we haven't walked him yet" Kate sighed.

"Don't worry I walked him while you were in your meeting so he's alright" I said with a smile.

Kate let out a small sigh of relief.

"What would I do without you my dear" Kate said.

"No clue love" I replied with a smile.

She chuckled and looked out the window for the rest of the car ride until we got home.

"Now what to do until Yelena gets here?" Kate pondered.

"Unpack" I said mocking enthusiasm.

Kate groaned collapsing onto the bed. I let out a chuckle as Kate pouted. She looked like a child who had just been informed he couldn't have candy.

"Kate we have to at least unpack some of our stuff" I said.

I flopped onto my stomach besides Kate she sighed turning her head to look at me.

"But it's so boring" Kate complained making me laugh.

"There are loads of things which are boring but we have to do" I said.

Kate pouted and shoved my shoulder making me roll onto my back before coming to straddle my waist.

"Kate I have to unpack" I said.

My hands went to her waist my fingers digging into her side. She smirked down at me. Without a word Kate placed kisses down my neck.

"Kate I- I-" I stuttered.

I couldn't focus with Kate's lips on mine and she was using this knowledge to her advantage. I could feel her smirk against the sensitive and now red skin of my neck.

"Kate" I said.

She pulled away looking down at me with a quirked brow.

"Just say the word and I'll stop" Kate whispered.

I stayed silent for a second not exactly wanting her to stop. Just as I was about to say something Lucky burst through the door jumping onto the bed ruining the moment.

"Oh my god Lucky you cock blocker" I complained.

Kate chuckled pressing a few soft kisses on my lips before pulling away her absence making me feel cold.

"Continue this later?" Kate whispered in my ear.

Her words sent shivers down my spine as her lips grazed against my ear. A smirk was prominent on her lips. I eagerly nodded and stood up giving some pats to Lucky.

"You should be glad you're cute" I said shaking my head at Lucky who had no idea what he just stopped.

Kate laughed and began unpacking boxes with me. Lucky followed us around the house so quite a few times we got distracted with patting him.

I grabbed all the now empty boxes and began folding them up.

"Yelena sent me the address of a bar for us to meet at" I said.

"Great" Kate replied, I could tell by her tone something was off.

I sighed leaving the boxes and walking over to sit next to her.

"What's up?" I asked her.

"The bank cut me off because my mom's in jail. I can't access the money she gave me" Kate huffed.

"Can they do that?" I asked.

"Apparently so" Kate sighed stuffing the phone into her pocket.

"I mean I still have government money" I said.

Kate furrowed her brows confused.

"Well after we fought Thanos and brought everyone back we all got given a large sum of money as a thank you, also Natasha left me some money too" I said.

"Ok, I was thinking of getting a job" Kate said.

"Look we'll sort this out ok, don't stress about it ok" I assured her.

"I love you" She said.

"I love you too" I replied leaning forward and kissing her lips.

After a few seconds Kate pulled away.

"If we keep this up we won't be leaving the house" Kate chuckled running her hands over my shoulders.

"No probably not" I replied.
