Part 36

I closed the boot of the car and let out a sigh wiping the sweat which had begun to head on my forehand. Kate and I had decided to head to New York today. I was nervous this was the first time I would properly be away from my family after the snap.

I didn't have doubts about Kate though I would follow her anywhere. I let out a laugh as Nate ran towards me engulfing me in a hug, well my legs in a hug he was rather short.

"I want you to stay" Nate pouted.

"Aww buddy I'll come back to visit" I said.

I picked him up and he wrapped his arms around my neck.

"Promise" Nate whispered.

I nodded and held out my pinky for him to do a pinky promise which of course was the highest level of promise. You can never break a pinky promise. Ever.

"Ok" Nate said.

I placed him down on the ground and he looked up at me like a lost puppy. Kate walked around and looped her arm with mine offering me a big smile.

The rest of my family walked over.

"You're only moving so you two can like bang constantly right?" Cooper asked.

"Cooper!" My mum shouted in disgust.

I simply laughed playfully shoving my brother I mean he wasn't exactly wrong it was one of the reasons I was moving to be fair. He gave me a smirk and I simply rolled my eyes.

"So you two have everything?" My dad asked.

"Yup we've got everything" I smiled glancing across at Kate.

She offered me a smile letting me know how happy she was I was coming. After our argument we were sure we wanted this, we wanted to be together no matter what. Despite being furious and upset at each other we were more worried about losing each other than trying to win an argument.

I loved her. There are many things I didn't have the answer to but the one thing I am absolutely 100% sure about was that I loved her. I know it sounds kinda gross and corny but it's true.

My family all gave me goodbye hugs and Kate even was subjected to cuddles too. My mum practically was trying not to cry. Due to the snap she didn't see me transform into an adult, in a way she still views me as a sixteen year old kid when I'm not. Out of all my Natasha was the only one who got to properly watch me grow up.

"Now I better leave before you change your mind and hold me hostage" I chuckled hugging Clint.

"No no if anyone would to do that it would be Nate" My dad chuckled.

I glanced down at my younger brother who was pouting at me.

"I'll see you guys later" I said with a smile.

"You better come and visit" Laura said sounding slightly threatening.

"Yes of course" I chuckled.

She gave me one last hug and I could finally get into the car. I climbed into the drivers seat and Kate hopped in next to me. My dad opened the door for Lucky to jump in the back.

It took a lot of negotiating but thankfully we got to take Lucky back, I mean Kate was the one who found him after all and I also would like to think that we are his favourites.

"You ready to go my love" Kate said.

"God you sound so corny" I chuckled igniting the engine.

Kate laughed agreeing with me. I let out a sigh of content as the car started and I began to drive away from my home. Well not exactly my home, Kate was my home and wherever she was I would be at home.

"Lucky will mess tormenting Nate" I said.

"I bet he'll start tormenting us" Kate laughed.

Lucky had found a fun game in my little brother nothing brought the pizza dog more joy than to chase after my poor five year old brother and tackle him to the brother. It was hilarious though. I would just watch laughing my ass off as my dad would run over to tell Lucky off.

"I can't believe your moving in with me" Kate sighed.

"Yeah it kinda feels unreal" I agreed.

"I know right" Kate chuckled.

"I love you" I said taking my eyes off the road to look at her.

"I love you too Y/n but please turn your eyes back to the road" She laughed.

I laughed and turned back around paying attention to the road ahead, the road to New York.
