64| meeting the babies pt 4

HER

It was a little bit after and everybody had held both the twins and I brought Daphne into the nursery to feed her. I unzipped my dress and pulled it down along with my bra and let her latch on and eat.

Once she was finished she started kneading my breast signalling she's full and I pulled my clothes back up and zipped up my dress and brought her back into the living room and laid her in Derek's arms.

I saw a woman with black hair and bright blue eyes exactly like Derek, Amelia, and Devereux and I assumed this was Derek's other sister. She looked like she didn't know what to do as everyone was busy doing something.

"Hi, you must be Ruby, Derek's other sister" I smiled at her and put my hand out for her to shake

"Yes" she smiled at me and shook my hand and I noticed she had already taken off her coat as everyone else had as well.

"Meredith, Is your husband here?" I asked her as I didn't see anyone else other than the little girls on her hip and the other hiding behind her legs.

"Oh um, their father not in the picture," she said as she frowned a bit

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know," I said

"And these must be your daughters" I smiled at the girl behind her to change the subject

"Yes, this is my daughter Sarah who is three and this is jade who is one" she smiled

"Well you two girls look beautiful and just like you're mother" I smiled at them

"Do you girls want to go play? We have a toy room down the hall that I can take you to where my threes boys are, we also have some girls toys because there are so many girl cousins" I said to them

"You can have a seat if you'd like," I said to Ruby as I gestured to the empty couch "Do you want to go play girls?" She asked them As the older one Sarah nodded her head a bit but the little one didn't want to

"Okay, you can come with me" I smiled at the older one and put my hand out of her to take and she did and I led her to the toy room and opened the door and walked her in where Amelia and link were I'm assuming to avoid the talking about them and Nancy.

"Okay, Sarah these are your cousins, Matthew, Sullivan, and Devereux," I said as I pointed to each one of them

"And this is you're aunt Amelia and this is her boyfriend link"

"Boys this is your cousin Sarah I want you all to be very nice to her, okay?" I said as she walked into the room

"Amelia, can you make sure they're nice? I know Matthew and Devereux will be, but I don't know about Sullivan" I asked Amelia band she nodded her head

"Okay, have fun, sweetie" I smiled at Sarah and left the room and sat back next to Derek.

"Nice going leaving your sister hanging around without telling her to sit or anything" I whispered to Derek

"What do you mean?" He whispered back

"You left your sister hanging without telling her to sit or talk to her or anything, she's new to this house and her oldest daughter doesn't even remember anyone and you've never even met her youngest," I said

"How do you know I didn't meet them when they came in?" he said slightly offended

"What's her youngest daughter's name?" I asked him as I knew he wouldn't know

"I-I" I stuttered

"Her name is Jade, Derek, go talk to her," I said

"Why?" He asked
