87| Puppy

Meredith's POV:

I and Derek were laying in bed reading in comfortable silence before we heard little footsteps running towards the bedroom

The door swung open to reveal a panting Matthew with his light blue teddy bear in his grasp that he had gotten for Christmas from his auntie Amelia

"Matthew, what are you doing up?" I asked him as I put my book down

"I had a bad dweam" he whimpered

"We all have dreams son," Derek said still looking at his book

"Not that kind of dream, Derek" I rolled my eyes "come here, sweetie," I said as I gestures for him to come

He ran over to the bed and I helped him in and sat him down on my lap "what was the dream about?" I asked him

"The scary man"

"The same one that hit your brother?" I asked as Derek turned his head to look at us at the mention of Andrew

He nodded

"Okay why don't you sleep with mommy and daddy tonight," I said and laid him down in the middle of the bed, I put my book on the nightstand and laid down next to him

"So much for midnight sex" Derek mumbled as he closed his book putting it on his nightstand

"You weren't thinking about it anyways" I rolled my eyes as Matthew cuddled closer to my chest with his teddy bear.

"I was planning for the right times he said laying down getting comfortable under the covers

"What man plans it?" I asked

"Me" he kissed me on the lips and Matthew on the head and laid his head on the pillow.

It was the next morning and I woke to Matthew completely pressed into my chest I couldn't even see his face. I chuckled before pushing the hair out of his face and kissing his forehead, I tried gently moving for his grasp but his arms tightened around my waist. I carefully took his hands off of my waist as he stirred and hugged his bear pushing his face into my pillow.

I put on my robe and walked into the bathroom taking off my clothes and getting into the shower, turning the water hot. I lathered my body in body wash and scrubbed with a lufa, I rinsed and Asher my hair with shampoo and conditioner. I rinsed my hair and turned the water off.

I dried off and did my hair before dressing into my clothes, I put on a blue dress and socks then went out of the bedroom going into the nursery.

I picked up Daphne she opened her eyes at me and her bright green eyes sparkled at me as she smiled, I brought her over to the rocking chair and pulled down my dress and bra and lifted her up and she latched on. I gently patted her back as she ate.

After she finished eating I wiped her mouth and my nipple and laid her back in the crib and picked up Eloise and let her latch on to my other breast as I sat down on the rocking chair. After the girls were both fed I bathed them in their little bathtubs and dressed them into little lilac-coloured onesies.

I carried them into the living room where I saw Derek, all three of the boys and Ellis dressed and cleaned eating breakfast as Ellis's hair was still damp from the bath.

I put them in the little cribs that we had in the kitchen as they cooed and looked around, I walked over to Derek and kissed him softly on the lips rubbing his back and watched him stand at the stove for a bit before going over to the kids and doing their hair.

After I finished with the kid's hair I and Derek are breakfast with them

"Mommy, can we get a puppy?" Matthew asked me

"I don't know baby we already have a full house," I told him as Ellis wasn't paying attention to anything we were saying.

"But mommy" he whined

"Ask your daddy," I told him

"Daddy, can we have a puppy?" He asked him

"What for?"

"To protect us, if the bad man comes back then if we have a big puppy we can teach it how to bite him!" Matthew told him and Derek looked at me knowing Matthew was making a little bit of a point

"Mere-" he started

"No"

"Who's Meredith?" Devereux asked

"Derek's wife," I told him

"Who's Derek?" He asked

"Meredith's husband," I told him

"Who's Meredith?" He whined

"Me, I'm Meredith" I smiled

"I thought you were mommy"

"I am, I'm your mommy but I'm not daddy's mommy so he calls me by my name. When you have kids they'll call you daddy"

"Oh," he said and continued eating

Everyone was quiet about the whole puppy thing for a few minutes

"Can we get a puppy?" Sullivan asked

"I don't know Sullivan a puppy's a lot of work" I sighed

"Daddy?"

"Maybe one day we'll have to get a big puppy for you boys," I said as I glared at him

"Derek"

"It's their birthday soon we have a big backyard"

"We'll see," I said and continued eating.

*Later that night*

"Derek, ohhhh" I moaned as I came into Dereks mouth

"Mm" he moaned as he kissed my lips

He laid down next to me pulling me onto his arms as I laid my head on his chest

"Goodnight" I whispered

"Goodnight"  he whispered
