Meredith knew the gender of the twins and she was happy would have been happy no matter what it would have been but today was the day where Derek and his family and her family would find out. Meredith hated gender reveals but Derek insisted because his family loved them, Meredith's mom Ellis also hated them so she would be helping decorate since only she and Meredith knew the genders.
Once they had everything set up Meredith stood and looked at it all and then at her mother
"Do you think we did a good job?" Meredith asked
"Well, it looks like a rainbow threw up everywhere so..."
"So we did do it right" Meredith sighed
"What's wrong with you?" Her mother asked as they went back inside
"I don't know, I just-I hate people, I mean I love Dereks family except for Nancy and I love my family" after Meredith said that her mother gave her a questioning look
"Okay we'll most of my family," she said and her mother's face stayed the same
"Okay fine I hate my family but still why do we have to have a big party" Meredith whined as they were sitting at the kitchen table drinking tea they usually drank tequila together but Meredith was pregnant so they couldn't do that
"Because you're husbands an idiot with a dumb family who likes big stupid dumb parties"
"That's for sure" she sighed as she stood up and went back into her bedroom and pulled out some photo books from when the triplets were born and looked through all the photos.
As she was distracted by the book she didn't even notice Derek walk into the room
"Meredith?" He asked as he walked through the door
"Oh, yea" she whispered and continued looking through the book
"What are you doing?" He asked as he sat down next to her and pulled her into his arms
"Looking through the boys baby books," she said flipping through the pages
"We're going to have to get another one of these when these two come," he said as he placed his hand on her stomach
"Yea," she said still distracted by the book
"Are you excited for the gender reveal?" He asked running her large belly
"No," she said simply
"What not?" He said confused
"Because I already know what they are and I don't like patty's" she giggled
"Well you can still enjoy it," he said as he kissed the top of her head
"Can you do the rest?" She asked as she looked up at him
"You want me to plan a gender reveal?" He asked
"Yes, my feet are killing me and I don't like planning party's either," she said looking back at the book
"Fine I guess for you I will" he sighed and kissed her on the lips and left the room. A few minutes after Derek had left she started to hear little footsteps and giggling from behind the door until it finally opened
"Devereux?" She asked
"Mama" he smiled and ran to the edge of the bed and pulled on the sheets as he climbed on the bed and cuddled into her side
"Where's daddy?" She asked him as she stroked his back
"Side" he replied
"Why aren't you playing outside with your brothers?" She asked as she pulled him closer
