It would be exactly two weeks before the trip to DC and the teachers were piling on the homework because of the days that had been missed.
Gogo was working on a humanities PowerPoint presentation by herself in the library, seated next to a window.
Hiro passed by the library and, happening to see a seat in front of her, proceeded to sit down at the table.
"Hey Hiro," said Gogo as she typed. "What brings you here?"
"Umm.. Just a Spanish packet of work," Hiro replied, pulling out a stack of papers.
Gogo smiled at him, "Well, join me in the work!"
Hiro felt jittery. Was now the time to ask her to the dance? Or should he wait?
Then a feeling of panic washed over him.
The dance was in two weeks. What else was in two weeks?
THE DC TRIP.
"Hey," Gogo questioned, "are you feeling alright? You looked like someone just killed Mochi."
"I'm ok." Hiro said meekly. "Are you on your email now?"
"Uh... Yeah" said Gogo, glancing at her computer screen, "why do you ask?"
"No reason!"
Hiro started a chat with Gogo in the email.
Hiro: hi!
Gogo: oh my gosh Hiro, you made me get on my email for this? #ineedtofocusonmyhomework
Hiro: ok then... *puppy eyes*
Gogo: AGH HIRO I CAN'T RESIST THOSE PUPPY EYES!
Hiro was actually giving her the puppy eyes in real life..., black bangs swept over his eyes in an adorable way.
Gogo: So is this all you wanted me online for?
Hiro: Maybe... Not ;)
Gogo: Well I hate suspense... Tell me!
Hiro: I have a question.
Gogo: That was a statement.
Hiro: Ok, let me rephrase this, may I ask a question?
Gogo: You just did LOL
Hiro: you are unbelievably impossible.
Gogo: Got that right. Now on with the question. I got work to do.
Hiro: Here goes nothing... Will you go to the dance with me?
Gogo: Yes
Their eyes met then, and Gogo decided that she should maybe stop rejecting the idea of love, for the meantime anyway.
Their feet touched under the table and they smiled like nobody else in the world mattered.♥
