Epilogue; Wendy is at a loss for words. Throughout their friendship, she has believed that he would never like her back. And yet here he is, expressing that he sees her as more than a friend.

"Then let's go out!" she announces.

"Let's go out," Mark repeats with a smile. "So when did you first start liking me?"

"You answer that first. You're always teasing me to the point where I wonder if you consider me  a woman."

"I tease you because I want to see you laugh. You're always tense, and I want you to loosen up."

"I loosen up around you, Mark. Anyway, are you going to answer?"

"I've liked you for a while now. At first, I thought it was just because we were close, but then I realized I depend on you a lot. I glance at you to make sure you're okay because then I'm okay. If you're hurt, I feel your pain, so I feel the need to take care of you. I wait for you to text me, to call me, and to meet up with me. Otherwise, I'm bored out of my mind. On rainy days, I wish you to see a smile on your face because it's like the sun came out of the dark. You're everything that I need, Wendy. You've always been there for me, so I want you to rely on me."

"Who knew that you could be so sweet? I thought my feelings for you were one-sided, but it turns out you've liked me all along." She smiles to pause. "I feel the same way, Mark. All I need is you. You've shown me your heart, and I can see it now. Your tiny gestures mean a lot to me. I think I have become reliant on you."

Mark embraces her, stroking her hair. She pulls away from him to say, "We should get ice cream now." Mark responds, "Okay." They purchase ice cream in cones and eat them in his car.

When they're done eating, their favorite song plays on the radio.

"Should we continue where we left off?" Mark asks.

Wendy furrows her eyebrows. "Continue what?"

"Close your eyes."

Wendy listens, and Mark places his lips on hers. "I love you," they tell each other. In unison, they sing the lyric,"If life is a movie, then you're the best part."
