Prologue;
The first day of school rolled around, which everyone dreaded. Groans and whines filled the classroom as the students entered, seeing Mr. Shin in the front. This time, he was accompanied by two young and attractive boys. The girls' eyes were undeniably focused on the boys and their mouths dropped. Compliments and fangirling spread rapidly as they walked to their seats. Wendy, too, was impacted by the boys' appearance, slightly blushing when one of them smiled at her as she sat in the front row.
"Hello class. Welcome to the first day of school. Meet my TAs, Mark and Jackson," Mr. Shin said as he pointed to the boys with their corresponding names, "They will be helping me throughout this school year. Please treat them kindly."
Everyone nodded; the girls continued gawking and whispering about who their new crush is. Wendy was surprised by their fast judgment. She couldn't even decide on a bias within a K-Pop group.
As Mr. Shin taught the lesson, Wendy didn't know who to pay attention to. She was heavily distracted by Mark's smile, but then there was Jackson's gaze, and Mr. Shin's talking. So, she attempted to shift her attention to Mr. Shin. That didn't work out. Fifteen minutes into the lesson and she still has no notes. This led to her panicking. Mark noticed and told Mr. Shin to slow down, making eye contact with Wendy afterwards. She held his stare for a couple of seconds, grinned and mouthed thank you, and redirected to Mr. Shin. Finally, she was able to jot down some notes. Mark beamed with satisfaction seeing her calmness.
The lecture ended and a worksheet was passed out by Jackson. When he got to Wendy, he accidentally touched her hand, leaving her flustered. Jackson immediately apologized and Wendy shook her head strongly.
"It's okay," she said as she smiled.
Jackson looked at her with relief and moved on to the next row to pass the worksheet.
Wendy thought: Maybe her school year wouldn't be so bad after all. She now has two boys to swoon over.
