My Peter Pan: WenGa (2)

The head teacher called for a meeting with all the educators. After it ended, she ordered Ms. Son and Mr. Min to stay.

Ms. Son greeted Mr. Min, "Hello, Yoongi."

Mr. Min did the same. "Lovely seeing you here, Wendy."

Discreetly and imperceptibly, the head teacher smiled. Her ship will sail soon.

"I want you two to create a fairy tale story of your choosing," she ordered.

The duo nodded and Wendy replied confidently, "We won't let you down."

"I would hope so." She exited the room with a huge smile.

Yoongi turned to Wendy. "What story do you want to write?"

Wendy repeated the question, emphasizing the "you."

He chuckled. "All right. Let's do Peter Pan."

She arched her eyebrow. Defiantly, with arms crossed, she said, "Very funny, Yoongi. Just because there's a character with my name doesn't mean we should write about it."

He shrugged coolly. "That's partially the reason. I figured we could live vicariously while writing: Pretending we're children who will never grow up."

She grinned a toothy grin. "And we can head to Neverland."

He snapped. "Precisely."

"Who would've thought you could come up with such a wonderful idea?"

"Don't underestimate me, Wendy," he retorted jokingly, side-eyeing her.

She lifted her hands in the air. "I surrender!"

They snickered; that was their thing: playful banter and humor.

An idea popped into her head. Evidently, her eyes lit up. "We can pretend we're the characters! I'll be Wendy and you'll be Peter Pan!"

Yoongi reluctantly agreed, despite thinking her idea was outrageous. But after examining her joy, the decision came easily.

"You would definitely suit Wendy since she's adorable."

Wendy narrowed her eyes at Yoongi curiously. "Are you flirting with me Min Yoongi?"

He smirked. "Maybe. Do you care to know? You even pulled out the full name card, Son Seungwan."

She huffed. "I couldn't care less. Anyway, you suit Peter Pan with your tiny elf-like ears."

He feigned shock. "My ears are not elf-like."

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever floats your boat, Yoongi."

The writing commenced. They introduced the characters: Wendy Darling and her family, Peter Pan and the rest of the Lost Boys, Captain Hook, and Mr. Smee.

"You forgot Tinker Bell, Wendy."

"Must we add her? She is so overprotective of Peter Pan. This is our version of the story, and we already have a conflict."

"You have a point. I suppose we don't need to include her."

Peter Pan convinced Wendy and her brothers to fly to Neverland with him:

"So come with me, where dreams are born, and time is never planned. Just think of happy things, and your heart will fly on wings, forever, in Never Never Land" (Barrie).

They agreed, wanting to cherish their childhood and have an adventure.

Upon their arrival at Neverland, they encountered Captain Hook, the villain, and his sidekick, Mr. Smee. In spite of Hook's efforts to keep Peter's gang, including the Lost Boys, held captive, Peter Pan saved the day by making him jump off the ship.

Eventually, the Darlings returned to their parents and the Lost Boys are adopted by them, excluding Peter Pan, who refused to grow up.

"This part always makes me sad, Yoongi."

"Why? He's living out his dream of never growing up."

"But instead of being with Wendy, he watches her become an adult. That's sad. They could be growing up together. What does remaining in Neverland entail for him? He'll be alone while his best buds are entering adulthood."

"You're right, Wendy. We should change that ending."

She smiled.

After reconsidering his choice, he decided to get adopted. Although he wished to stay young, nothing beat being with Wendy. He wanted to grow old with her.

"My Peter Pan," Wendy Darling stated endearingly.

"That's a great ending, Wendy."

"I think that would also be a great opening line for a relationship."

Confused, Yoongi opened his mouth to ask but was interrupted by Wendy's lips. Releasing them, she asked, "Will you be my Peter Pan?"

Happily, Yoongi responded with, "Only if you will be my Wendy Darling."

Her smile widened as Yoongi leaned in for another kiss.
