Third Person POV
5 years later...
Alken's looking at his wristwatch, feeling bored with the program happening in front of him. He's at the charity ball that his royal godmother, who's Gab's aunt requested him to attend.
He's really bored, the host kept joking around which made everyone laughed at the top of their lungs, well except him. He's not happy with what he sees, it's like this whole program is a waste of time.
He snorted in annoyance, if only it wasn't a request by his godmother, he wouldn't go in such place like this. Well he doesn't care if it's kinda rude, but he'd been like this ever since.
Nothing's new...
It has been 5 years already, no communication with his two best of friends. After finding out the loss and disappearance of Maria, their world seemed different. It became dark, plain and boring.
They've been hurting since that day, that is why they chose to part ways and focus on their own mafias.
They seek for her, but they always end up getting nothing in return, even a single information of her whereabouts, wala silang mahanap.
Her loss has brought hole to their hearts and as time goes by it becomes unbearable.
It's really hard, but for the sake of their mafias they chose to focus and spend their years becoming stronger which they successfully made. But sad to say, after that day he has no more communication with Valeriox and Isaac.
It was like, seeing and having conversation with them makes him sad and hurt, because he knew they've been there when he was falling deeply to the only woman they shared.
He have no idea what happened to the two since he kept making himself busy in order to at least forget the pain remembering her loss because if he wouldn't, he would surely breakdown that might cause chaos to his mafia again.
That was once happened, he failed from his transaction with the Americans which was immediately learned by his enemies. Nawalan ng takot ang ibang mafia sa kaniya dahilan upang maliitin siya at sirain ang kaniyang grupo. But he's glad that he's able to survived before it becomes too late.
"Alright, let's move on to the next!"
Again, he checked his wristwatch, not minding the talkative host in front. He's bored really, he wanted to stand his ass up and leave.
"This charity ball has twist," nakangiti pang saad ng host sa harapan na ikinaikot ng mga mata ni Alken. "It's somehow an auction type, but of course you just have to pick your bet and give their cost. Whoever give the highest amount will have chance to date his bet."
Alken does not know why a certain excitement grow in him, he don't even like this shit in front of him!
He groaned, massaging his temple.
"One can date his bet if he won the highest amount he'll donate to the charity. Let us all welcome, our four angels for tonight!"
A song played at the four corners of the hotel and four girls with blindfold walks elegantly at the rectangular stage.
Alken who's been feeling bored looked up, leaving his lips parted upon seeing the last woman who walks familiarly to him.
He swallowed hard, his mind went block as the host announced those women to untie their blindfolds.
Wala sa sariling napahawak siya sa dibdib sa sobrang lakas ng tibok niyon. Hindi siya pwedeng magkamali, it's her.
He unconsciously fished his phone out of his pocket, dialing Valeriox's number. Finally, after so many years of being away without conversation, he's able to contact his friend again.
